Chapter 20 The Mr. Lucas Family 

Tristan heard her soft voices coming from the phone.

“Sure, I’m happy to act as the escort.”

“Tristan, I’m afraid that you are too excited that I cannot fall asleep with you by my side. I miss you. I’ll call you when I wake up.”

After saying that, the phone hung up.

Tristan put the phone into his pocket. For woman like Ms. Helen, Tristan would not believe in her. He said he would go to see her without hesitation because he wanted to show his weak points to her. In the large flat, Ms. Helen tossed her mobile phone aside and stood in front of the mirror, carefully admiring her fair and dewy skin. A confident smile appeared on her charming face, “Not

Tristan looked at the watch. It was still early.

The senior management meeting at the Spark Company was scheduled at 4 pm.

Tristan gave a call to his parents, who had lost their jobs in the past few years because of him. For parents in their age, they will be uneasy if they had no stable income..

Tristan asked Walten to offer two cushy jobs, hoping; his parents would be easy in their minds with job to do.

Tristan dialed his father’s number, but there was no answer. And then he dialed his mother’s

number, but there was still no answer.

Tristan looked at his watch. It was only after nine o’clock. He bought some buns and went to his. parents’ place. But when he entered the house, he found that neither of them was at home.

Tristan called again, but there was still no answer.

Tristan’s brow furrowed and called Walten.

Tristan worried that Ruby would find trouble with his parents again, so he asked Walten to arrange

someone to look after them secretly.

A few minutes later, Tristan got a reply that his parents were at Tekla Hospital, visiting a patient.

Tristan felt funny. Why didn’t his parents answer the phone if they just visit a patient?

Tristan immediately called a taxi and went straight to the Tekla Hospital.

Duke and Susan were standing in front of a ward with fruit in their hands..

In the ward, A woman in her early twenties sat in a wheelchair, reading a book carefully about law in her hand. She had long hair, elegant and quiet.

In front of the door of the ward, a middle-aged man was blocking the doorway, not allowing Duke

and Susan to enter.

Duke spoke to the man in front of the door, “Mr. Lucas, what are you doing. Let us go in to see the

child.”

The man called Mr. Lucas stood still at the door of the ward and said, “There is no need for you to do so. You have paid for what you should have paid over the past few years, and there is no need to keep connection with our family.”

Susan hurriedly said, “Mr. Lucas, we care about Yuri and want to help her.”

Mr. Lucas snorted coldly, “If you really want to help her, then be honest! We all know that the accident had nothing to do with you! We just want the real culprits to be brought to justice. You can help us as long as you disclose the evidence and we take them to court!”
