My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 205

Chapter 205 Spend My Money As You Please

If Ernest’s fans knew what Nathaniel was thinking, they would probably leave many long and angry comments under the

Webster Group’s Twitter account.

However, that wouldn’t happen, because Nathaniel sat there upright with a long face, and no one could figure out what was on

his mind.

After reading the script, Ernest raised his hand, indicating that he was ready for the audition.

Dawson pointed at Janet who was sitting aside.

Janet was surprised.

Dawson said with a smile, “There are no actresses here to act with Ernest now. You came here with Ernest, right? Please act

with him. You don’t have to be a professional to do this. Just read the lines.”

Janet looked up and caught the teasing smile on Ernest’s face. She walked up to him. She came here to help, so she wasn’t

going to say no.

The lines were simple. She memorized them quickly.

Seeing that they were ready, the workers turned the lights on. In the dim light, Janet and Ernest looked at each other affectionately. The scene was beautiful and everyone was immersed in it.

“Have you decided to break up with me?”

“Yes. I don’t think we’re right for each other.”

“Then why are you crying?”

Ernest stroked Janet’s cheek. The two of them looked at each other, and great affection clouded their eyes. Seeing this, the

onlookers cheered and whistled. Just then, Nathaniel said, “Cut!”

Dawson was caught by surprise. He broke out in a cold sweat and turned to look at Nathaniel.

“Mr. Webster, do you have any suggestions?”

Nathaniel gazed at Ernest. There was ridicule and dissatisfaction in his eyes. He replied, “Well, I think this plot is awful. It’ll be

better to lose the stroking part.”

Dawson was a little confused. He didn’t want to oppose the investor, so he just asked Ernest and Janet to start over.

This time, they managed to act a little longer. Just as they were about to hug, Nathaniel’s voice sounded again.

“Cut! I think this plot should be deleted too. There’s no need to hug. It’s very abrupt.”

Janet looked daggers at Nathaniel. Dawson wanted to say something, but when he saw the look in Janet’s eyes, he kept silent.

Who is she? Why is her vibe more powerful than Mr. Webster’s?

Dawson scratched his head and said, “Er, this plot does need to be modified. But why don’t you guys finish the rest of the

audition first?”

Janet clenched her fists and took a deep breath.

She wanted to help Ernest. The script was great and Ernest liked the role a lot. If it were not for these reasons, Janet would have already left.

Dawson’s face was running with sweat.

What is going on?

Bonne

Dawson thought everything would go smoothly since these people knew each other. But now he realized that he was terribly

Wrong

The look in Janet’s eyes was extremely intimidating, sending a cold shiver down Dawson’s spine. Dawson asked them to start. acting again in fright.

Just as Ernest and Janet made up and were about to hold hands, however, Nathaniel interrupted again.

“Cut!”

Dawson didn’t dare to look at Janet anymore.

Janet gritted her teeth and stared at Nathaniel, but Nathaniel didn’t seem to notice this. He said calmly, “I don’t think they

should hug.”

Are you serious?

You can just say that all physical contact should be deleted.

Who are you trying to annoy here?

Why have I never noticed this side of you?

Janet was about to criticize Nathaniel when Ernest stopped her.

Ernest looked at Dawson with a solemn expression. “Dawson, if this is how things work around here, then I’m afraid I can’t try out. You should find a more suitable actor. Goodbye.”

With that, he pulled Janet away from the scene of the audition.

Nathaniel watched them leave, and his face turned gloomy.

When walking to the door, Janet tugged at Ernest’s sleeve and said apologetically, “Sorry. I came to keep you company during the audition, but now you lose such a good opportunity because of me.”

Ernest didn’t mind this. He lowered his head to look at her. His eyes were full of tenderness.

“Don’t apologize. Our relationship is more important than this film to me. Don’t you remember? You are always my priority.”

He paused for a second.

Then he said in a firm tone, “You shouldn’t take the crap. Besides, this film was invested by Nathaniel. I don’t think its quality will be very good. Not getting a role in it isn’t a great loss.”

After saying that, he patted Janet on the head.

“Let’s go. You said you’d buy me dinner. You’re not going back on your words, right?” Ernest said calmly, only half-joking.

Janet gazed at him, feeling deeply touched.

“No, I’m not. Let’s go! You give up the role because you despise it. You don’t deserve to be treated like that. If you don’t work, I can provide for you.”

Ernest nodded and considered it seriously.
