My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 209

Chapter 209 Release Her!

The way the others looked at Janet instantly changed.

There was no expression on Janet’s face, but her fingers moved slightly.

She was still weak. The drug was still in effect, and her strength could not be fully used.

She looked arrogant.

“If you let me go now, you might be forgiven. Otherwise, the Longfellow Group will not let you go!”

“Hahaha, so hilarious. Do you think we are pushovers? You can defeat one of us, but you can’t beat us all Girl, we will let you experience true pleasure today!”

The rest of the men rushed forward, looking like they were going to press Janet down to the ground.

A man’s leg stretched over. Janet did not even dodge and directly kicked his calf. He covered his leg and fell to the ground fis forehead began to sweat.

Another man wanted to attack from behind, but Janet kicked his crotch. He was in so much pain that he couldn’t even scream.

The remaining men still wanted to come up, but Janet stood in the same place and swept her leg over. All the men fell to the ground.

However, she was outnumbered, and the drug in her body had yet to wear off. After a few rounds, a man pressed her against the wall from behind when she was not paying attention.

The man’s voice was nasty.

“Tsk, aren’t you a feisty one? Hmm. You just so happen to be my type.”

“Humph, her kicks and punches feel like nothing. Guys, shouldn’t we reward her for it?”

Janet sneered, her eyes fixed on Jack, who had been silent the whole time.

“Someone ordered you to do it? Who is this person? How much did she offer you? The Longfellow Group will offer a lot more.”

Jack calmly lit a cigarette and did not say a word.

Janet narrowed her eyes and asked again, “Is it a woman?”

Jack’s hand holding the cigarette paused.

Janet instantly understood.

Coral was not capable of this, so the only person who had a motive was Anastasia.

Anastasia went through all the trouble to do this. It seemed she really hated Janet.

Janet struggled. When the man who held her wanted to speak, she grabbed his arm to pin him against the wall. Then she stared at Jack and said, “As long as you let me go, I can pretend nothing happened today. Let’s make a deal. You are short of money,

but I have a lot of it!”

Even though she was at a disadvantage, she was still calm and composed.

“Before you kidnapped me, you should have investigated me, right? If the Longfellow Group knows about this, I’m afraid you will be severely punished. Moreover, some other companies will also make you suffer. However, if you let me go now, I will give you money in exchange for my life. How about it?”

Her eyes were calm, and her tone was flat, as if she was sure these kidnappers would take the deal.

Bow

Jack stared at her before blowing a smoke ring, his expression fierce.

“Why do you think you are qualified to negotiate with me?”

Janet was not frightened by him at all. Instead, she smiled.

“You don’t need

suffer greatly!”

know why. You only need to know I can give you what you want. But if you don’t take the deal, you will

Even though she was surrounded by several men, there was no trace of worry on her face. Her confidence made Jack and his Lackeys fall silent.

The timid ones among them snuck glances at Jack. After all, Janet didn’t look like a doormat.

Jack looked at Janet and laughed.

He found her very interesting.

The girls whom they had kidnapped before had cried nonstop. Some of them had even bumped their heads against the wall to kill themselves. However, Janet was the first to calmly negotiate with them.

Interesting.

Jack pulled his lackeys to the side and snorted coldly.

“It seems she wants me to take action personally.”

Janet looked at Jack. There was no fear in her eyes. Instead, there was some expectation.

She never really intended to make these people take the deal. Her purpose was to arouse Jack’s interest to make him take

action.

Only by capturing the leader would she have a chance to escape. After all, destroy the leader, and the gang will collapse.

Janet clenched her fists, waiting for Jack to take the bait.

Jack glanced at her with disdain.

“Girl, I’ll give you one more chance. Don’t overestimate yourself.”

Janet sneered coldly.

“Only people without confidence will make a fuss and bluff!”

Jack’s face darkened when he heard that. He stepped forward and delivered a kick. Janet did not show weakness. She jumped on the spot and kicked his shoulder faster than Jack.

Jack lost his balance and took two steps back, but he instantly steadied himself and reached out to pinch her neck.

Janet dodged down and punched him in the belly!
