Why did it sound like he was flirting?
Tobias's laughter boomed. "Enough of the affection. Why don't you try my two hundred million dollar table and see how it feels!"
I involuntarily looked toward Hendrix, pleading for help. I didn't gamble. How could I casually join such a high-stakes game?
Hendrix curled his lips, pulled me up, and walked to the table Tobias indicated. I don't what he did, but a few cards suddenly appeared on the table. At this time, six women with voluptuous figures walked in, each holding a high pile of red chips in their hands. Beyond the fact that these chips held monetary value, I didn't know anything else.
Tobias looked at me and asked with raised eyebrows. "Arianna, what would you like to play?"
I looked helplessly at Hendrix, but before he could speak, Tobias said, "Arianna, if you keep clinging to your man like this, he won't be able to do anything else. I'm afraid that your life as the rich man's wife won't be able to last for long."
I roughly understood Tobias' words. Hendrix was here for business and I was in the way.
I pursed my lips and said to Hendrix, "If you have something to do, you can go first. I can just stay here for a while by myself!"
He smiled and said. "You can play baccarat. It's the simplest game." Then he assured me further. "Don't worry. Your husband doesn't have much of anything else save for money."
"F-" Tobias almost cursed. "Are you flaunting your wealth now?"
He raised his hand, and there were three facedown cards on both ends of the table. Looking at Hendrix, he said, "Go, leave your wife to me. I promise I'll protect her well!"
