Chapter 155
Jared went up to Mrs. Gallagher and half crouched in front of her. He took the blanket and put it over Mrs. Gallagher's crippled legs, whispering, "Mom, I know. I won't love her."
He tried to convince himself.
Mrs. Gallagher felt sorry for her son. She touched Jared's head, saying, "Jared, I'll go home now. I don't want to push you. You have grown up and have your own ideas. Aurora has come back. I hope you can handle it well by yourself."
The bodyguard in black came in and wheeled Mrs. Gallagher away.
...
Jared stood in the living room for a moment. Then he looked up to the room.
The door was tightly closed.
Jared went upstairs and opened the door. The room was empty.
Aurora had left.
Where did she go?
The door was always closed. How did she get out?
