Chapter 283
She had not gone home because she needed to test the poison. When she passed out in pain, Tyrone must have supported her. But she could not tell Kenneth the truth.
"I...I was not feeling well, so Tyrone helped me. There is nothing between us."
Seeing her avoid his gaze, he knew she was lying. He had not expected her to lie!
"Arabella, are you serious? How could you give me such a perfunctory and lame explanation? Am I a fool in your eyes?"
Arabella reached out to tug at his sleeve and said, "Mr. Lucero, can you trust me? I have never done anything improper with Tyrone."
Kenneth coldly shook her hand off and slammed on the accelerator.
Feeling dizzy and nauseated, Arabella painfully pressed her chest.
Kenneth noticed her discomfort out of the corner of his eye. Seeing her unable to bear the speed and feeling sick, he tightened his grip on the steering wheel. Trying hard to suppress the rage about to explode in his chest, he slowed the car down.
It felt bad. Kenneth turned to look out the window, thinking he was a mess now.
...
The Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped outside the Lucero Group. Then, Kenneth dragged Arabella into the elevator and headed for the president's office.
