Lily knocked on the door and said, “Mr. Griffin is here, Ms. Hera!” 

“Come in!” 

Hera’s cool voice rang out from inside the office. 

Upon hearing that, Lily opened the door and said to Boris, “Please go 

in, Mr. Griffin!” 

Boris drew in a deep breath and regulated his emotions before heading into the office. 

“Ms. Hera, you wanted to see me?” Boris lowered his head as he 

spoke respectfully. 

Hera leaned back against her chair and used her fingers to drum the 

table without saying anything. 

The fear that Boris had worked so hard to suppress washed over him

Whenever Hera drummed the table during meetings, it meant she was suppressing her fury.
