My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 1202

Chapter 1202

“No, don’t send Sherman. This a clash between Mystique Loyalty

Realm cultivators,” Nash said.

“You’re supposed to deal with the Southern Martial Alliance, right?”

“Yeah.”

“I have some good news and some bad news. Which one do you want

to hear first?” Theo teased.

“Let’s hear the bad news first.”

“Sawyer Ford has broken through to the Mystique Loyalty Realm and has left the Klein family. He’s planning to join the Southern Martial Alliance,” Theo responded in a serious tone.

“That’s indeed bad news.” Nash’s eye twitched. It seemed that when it

rained, it poured.

Before Nash could ask for the good news, Theo continued, “The good news is that Carlos has also broken through and is now in the mid- Mystique Loyalty Realm. I plan to send him over to help you!”

A hint of a smile appeared at the corner of Nash’s mouth. “You’re thoughtful. This is quite a significant favor you’re doing for me.”

The Skye family’s strongest forces were Carlos and Sherman. Theo did not hesitate to deploy them when Nash was the one who was

going to fight. Such friendship was indeed rare.

Theo pretended to be angry. “I don’t like hearing that. Aren’t we good

buddies?”

Nash chuckled, and they chatted for a while before ending the call. Next, he contacted the Bullhogs of Motadine who gave him excuses, saying that their Mystique Loyalty Realm experts were all out of town.

Nash did not comment on it. He would not hold a grudge just

because they did not help.

At night, Nash invited everyone to the Empire Hotel for a feast.

Bertram heard about the impending war with the Southern Martial Alliance and got so excited that he downed three glasses of liquor in a row. He even boasted that he alone could crush the Southern

Martial Alliance.

“Bertram, can’t you write a script before you start to brag?” Felicity shot Bertram a disdainful look. Even her cousin did not dare to claim

to be able to single-handedly dominate the Southern Martial Allianc so she did not believe this man could do it.

Ash chuckled. “Don’t mind him, this guy just talks nonsense when

he’s drunk.”

Bertram immediately got angry. “Ash, are you looking down on me? How about we go outside and have a fight?”

Ash shrugged. “When have you ever beaten me?”

“If you have the guts, don’t use your Path techniques and we’ll see if I can break your bones!” Bertram continued to boast.

Ash could not be bothered to argue with him. After working together

for so many years, he understood Bertram better than anyone else. The more one argued with him, the more excited he became-

especially when he was drunk.

After a few more rounds of drinks, Eric and the others stayed behind at the Empire Hotel while Melody and Nash went back to the villa.

“Are you okay? Do you want me to make you some tea to help you sober up?” Melody asked softly. She felt a bit nervous and guilty as she had filled Nash’s glass to the brim every time she served him.

Alcohol emboldened people, after all. Sometimes, men had to take

the initiative in certain matters.

Nash shook his head, but he was feeling the effects of the liquor

kicking in. He leaned back on the couch and slumped down.

Melody poured a glass of warm water and nudged Nash, saying, “Hey,

have some warm water!” Nash, however, was unresponsive.

Melody sat down on the edge of the couch, feeling a bit lost. She or

wanted Nash to drink a bit more. She did not think he would get th

drunk!

Just then, her phone chimed. It was a message from Hera: [How’s it

going? Did he make a move?]

Melody bit her lip and sent a photo. [He’s drunk,]

[How much did he drink?]
