My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 1228

Chapter 1228

Qadry did not say anything and merely took a sip from his glass, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Nash took his phone out and dialed Robert’s phone number.

“Hello… who is this?”

Robert’s voice rang out from the other end of the line.

Robert had called Nash from this number in the past, which would

mean he did have Nash’s number.

The fact that he was pretending he did not know who was on the phone proved that he was with someone from the Freeman family

Nash smiled a slight smile. “Sorry, wrong number!”

He hung up the phone after saying that.

Artoile glanced at Nash, an odd look on his face as he said, “I’ll thin

about what you told me, Nash!”

Nash smiled but did not say anything.

The fact that Artoile had managed to become the Warden of the

Southern Territory meant he was no fool. He would think things

through carefully.

Dinner ended at around nine at night!

Nash asked the kitchen staff to prepare him some food that he could bring back to Melody’s mansion.

Qadry and Sicard escorted Artoile back to his room at the Glory Hotel.

Inside the car, Sicard said worriedly, Warden, I think there’s

trying to take over the Southern Martial Alliance. He’s got too much power on his hands!”

Artoile sat in the back seat and gazed at the street lights outside. He

seemed to be in deep thought.

A moment later, he retrieved his phone and made a call.

The call soon connected. A deep and husky voice rang out from the other end of the line. “What do I owe the pleasure to, Army General

Golde?”

Artoile gave a slight smile. “Colonel Scott, has the Eastern Territory received an invitation to join the Southern Martial Alliance?”

“Yes, we have. However, our Warden does not intend to join!”

“Why not?” Artoile hurriedly asked.

“That, you’ll have to ask him yourself!” the colonel chuckled as he

answered.

“Alright, got it!”

Artoile hung up the phone and then made another phone call.

This time, it was to the Western Territory.

Their answer was similar to what Sylvester Scott had said. They had received an invitation but had no plans to attend the establishment

ceremony.

Artoile narrowed his eyes and said in a low voice, “Let’s return to the border tomorrow morning. We won’t be attending either!”

Sicard and Qadry exchanged glances.

Both had confused looks in their eyes.

Sicard said hesitantly, “Nash Calcraft lied to us!”

Artoile’s voice grew cold. “Are you still holding a grudge against him because of what happened to Anderson Jones?”

“With all due respect, you’ve got me all wrong. I’m merely stating the
