The Contract Lover (Nina Morrison and Lucien Gray) novel Chapter 128

In the hospital. Nina lies on the hospital bed, with a needle in the back of her hand and is in the middle of an infusion. Her face is so pale and makes people frightened.

Sunny's eyes are red with tears, and she stares at Lucien in anger and says, "Mr. Grey, I beg you! Please let her go! Do not force her anymore!"

Originally she hoped very much to promote Lucien and Nina, but she did not expect that Nina can exclude Lucien so much!

Lucien did not sleep last night, and his eyes are bloodshot.

Hearing Sunny's words, he narrows his red eyes dangerously and angrily tries to beat her. If they had not been seen by Peter Johnson and Sunny last night, Nina would not want to die!

Peter Johnson sees the situation is not right, quickly cames to persuade the two, "All right, all right. The good news is that Nina is fine. The doctor said it was lucky the rescue was timely."

Lucien has nowhere to vent his anger, and Peter Johnson just happened to be his punching bag.

Lucien hits fiercely in Peter Johnson's face with wind! Peter Johnson knows Lucien is sad, so he does not fight back, only flashing.

Seeing Lucien beat Peter Johnson, Sunny is so angry that she jumps over and beat Lucien, "What the hell are you doing? It's all blame on you! You are responsible for her injury. And you even vent your anger on other people!"

Sunny good feelings to Peter Johnson immediately double. With the contrast of Lucien, Peter Johnson's good comes out.

A nurse hurries over and says, "Stop it! The patient is awake!"

Lucien pushes Peter Johnson aside and runs to the ward. His heart is beating so fast.

Nina lies on the bed, as pale as a paper person. Her big eyes stare at the ceiling blankly. She has nothing to do with the three people who walk in.

"Nina, you are awake!" Sunny jumps over and looks at Nina with concern.

Nina tries hard to squeeze a faint smile on Sunny. However, she sees Lucien from the corner of her eyes and she quietly turns away.

Lucien's gaunt face has grown black stubble, which makes him looks a kind of down.

Standing by bed, Lucien does not know what to say to Nina.

Anything, it seems, to be too superficial in front of death. What can he say? He is not the killer, but he is the one who pushed Mo over the edge.

If he didn't stop her when she was going to Sunny…

But there is no if…

Lucien lowers his head disappointedly, takes the diamond doll from his pocket, and puts it gently beside Nina's pillow.

Little cartoon doll flashes stubborn light with big eyes.

It reminds Lucien that the first time when he met Nina at that rainy night. His car hit her, the bright lights lit her face, and her big eyes were flashing such light.

This made Lucien remember Nina at a moment.

"Go away, I do not want to see you again." says Nina in a low voice on the bed. Her voice is still a little hoarse.

Lucien's deep eyes fix on Nina's face.

His last glimmer of hope is dashed by the cold words. Maybe it really is time to let go...

Finally he takes a deep look Nina's face. His thin lips press tightly. His handsome face is expressionless, but his body was full of sadness.

"Nina, I will set you free." He says in a low voice. After that, he turns and leaves, stays for no more second.

The sun is shining from the front and Lucien turns his back to the sun and leaves. His tall figure is so lonely.

It is getting cold. Three months have passed in a flash.

It rains today, cold rain is pouring in through the window by the wind. Nina quickly goes to the balcony to take back clothes.

She has been at home for months, living on the meager income of writing for a magazine. She really thanks that Sunny does not charge her rent. Nina stands on the balcony, looking far away, just suddenly finds that the winter had come…

The leaves are bare. With the cold wind blowing on the body, Nina cannot help shivering.

"Nina, I am back!" Sunny walks in with her bag. She went out to see the customer today, so she came back early. It is nice to have someone waiting for you at home. Seeing Nina's busy figure at home, Sunny feels very warm.

Nina has cooked chicken soup in the kitchen, and the house is filled with rich flavor of chicken soup.

"Nina, how sweet you are! Whoever marries you will be happy!" Sunny is moved.

Nina smiles slightly, "I'll get you some soup! It is cold today, and some soup will keep you warm."

Two people sit at the table, and warm lights light on the rich food, which give people appetites.

"Nina, our company will organize to go to the hot spring on weekends, and we can take families together. You go with me, will you?" Sunny, chewing chicken in her mouth, says inarticulately.

"Hot springs?" Nina is really a little interested in it.
