A man's greatest fear was to hear a woman question his sexuality.
Furthermore, it was the woman he despised most that asked the question.
It was at this point that the two remained silent. Lacey could sense his anger soaring.
The next thing she knew, her world suddenly took a 180-degree turn. Sam had lifted her onto his back.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Lacey struggled.
Sam remained silent as he strode into the jungle.
The truth was, Lacey wasn't scared at all. Sure, no one would come seeking her if she disappeared.
If it was the president of GH, however, that was not necessarily the case.
Her phone was already in her grasp. She quickly snapped a picture and sent it to Lillianna.
She wanted to show Lillianna what the man she was engaged in was doing!
On the other hand, Uncle Semaj advised the group to leave.
The clouds were overcast, and the wind became unusually strong.
Uncle Semaj was expecting a massive storm to hit shortly.
They must leave right away!
Otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Just as the group was packing up, they noticed two people were missing.
"Where's Lacey?" Theo hadn't paid attention to her just now while he was talking to the others.
"Where's Mr. Garrison?" Meanwhile, others' focus was different from Theo's.
"Sam! Sam—" Lillianna shouted nervously.
"Mr. Garrison! Mr. Garrison—" The others, too, began to yell.
"Lacey! Lacey—" Only Theo looked for her.
The crowd went on the hunt.
"Ding!" Just then, Lillianna received a WhatsApp message.
"Loser," the word flashed across her screen.
It was a text message from "Loser," which she knew immediately who it was.
Tapping into the text message, Lillianna squinted. Had she seen wrong?
She looked at the screen again, stunned. Although the picture only showed the man's back, she recognized him right away.
It had to be Sam!
But why was he carrying Lacey?
Where were they going?
When did these two leave together?
Her thoughts were racing with questions.
"I suspect Lacey has come to steal Sam from you."
Lillianna began to panic at the flashback.
"I have to find Sam! I need to see him right now!" She said eagerly as she pulled at Theo's arm. "Hurry up! We must find him!"
"Don't worry, Lillianna. We're looking for them now." Theo assumed Lillianna's panic was solely due to the disappearance of her fiancé.
The crowd began to yell names as they walked.
Some even tried to make phone calls. However, signals were unavailable due to climate change.
Dark clouds overcast the sky as the weather grew gloomy. There were even unusual sea waves. Uncle Semaj, who had extensive experience on the island, was terrified by the scene.
"We must leave right away. Otherwise, the consequences will be overwhelming!" Uncle Semaj stopped the group from moving forward.
"No!" Lillianna yelled. "We haven't found Sam yet. How can we leave? Are you liable if any incidents happen?"
Others exchanged glances. They all wanted to leave but didn't dare to speak a word.
They were Sam's friends, and more importantly, his business partners. They all depended on Sam to a large extent.
"But if we don't leave, a massive storm will engulf us! There's no way of knowing if we're safe here!" Uncle Semaj continued to insist.
"I don't care! We have to find him! Otherwise, no one will leave!" Lillianna roared.
Why had he taken Lacey away?
What were they up to?
"Don't worry, Lillianna. Perhaps Mr. Garrison and Lacey went back without us?" Evie rushed forward and comforted her.
She was, in fact, terrified by the gloomy weather.
"Impossible!" Lacey shook her head.
"That's right, Lillianna. Perhaps they left early? Why don't we go and see if the yacht is still there?" Heidi chimed in.
The others quickly followed suit.
"Let's go and have a look. We'll keep looking for them if the yacht is still there." Someone suggested.
The sky was overcast. They might not be able to return if they wait anymore.
There was nothing on this island. If anything happened, it would be a significant loss.
The group immediately went back to the beach.
Sure enough, the three yachts on the water's surface had shrunk to two.
The crowd exchanged glances. Subconsciously they assumed Sam and Lacey had left.
Yes, they must have left. Why else would one of the yachts be missing?
"Let's go back! Now!" Lillianna ordered in a shout.
"Should we check and contact the hotel to see if they've gone back?" Theo hurriedly suggested.
"The yacht had disappeared. They must have returned already. What are you waiting for? Get on the yacht now!" Lillianna sounded mad. In fact, she was overwhelmed with rage.
Her mind was filled with scenes of the two rolling in bed.
"Please hurry! Get on the yacht as quickly as possible! We have to leave right now!" Uncle Semaj yelled.
Theo was worried and tried to make a phone call. However, the d*mn phone had no reception.
He was concerned that the two might still be on the island.
"Mr. Henderson, get up here!" Everyone started urging him on.
Theo did not dare to wait any longer and boarded the yacht.
Soon the two yachts disappeared at sea.
Meanwhile, somewhere inside the deep jungle. "What are you doing?" Lacey leaned against a tree in panic.
Why hadn't they come yet?
