"Did I say that you could leave now?"
Richard looed at Pearl coldly. Then he continued, "I'm a businessman, I helped you, therefore you need pay back with something of the same value."
Pearl felt like she was suffocating. It took her some time to find her voice. "Then what do you mean?"
Richard's gaze fell on her badge. He mocked her, "Well, a well-known doctor like you could pour a glass of water for me, right?"
Pearl was taken aback. But she snapped back to her senses swiftly. "Yes, I could."
There was a water dispenser in this room. So she got back to him soon with a glass of water. "It's warm. I have tested it. So you can drink it now."
But Richard frowned at her.
"Don't get me wrong. I didn't drink it. I just felt the glass ."
After just saying this, Pearl began to regret for in fact Richard did not say anything at all now. She just explained directly. It felt like she had thought too much.
Richard did not get the water. On the contrary, he left her standing there.
"You're so considerate with your patients. No wonder your patient won't let you go."
Pearl's heart skipped a beat suddenly. She could hear the sarcasm in his words. Her heart sank, "Doctors can't choose patients. I'll put the water here. Drink it while it's warm."
She just placed the water on the table. Before she could turn around, a sharp pain came from her wrist. Richard suddenly tugged her so she fell on the bed.
"Ah!"
