The banquet hall was crowded with people. No one paid Adriana any attention except for the man. 

Although she was born into a wealthy family, today's particular birthday banquet had gathered all of Kityall City's famous socialites of the same level as the Louise family. It was far from what the Wood family could get into.

Not a single person in the banquet hall had heard of her, even though Richard had revealed Adriana as his fiancée,

"Thanks." Adriana took the blue cocktail from him. 

"Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet," He smiled and offered his hand. "Ethan Louise."

Driven by the charming smile, she held his hand subconsciously, "Adriana Wood."

"Adriana? Such a good name."

Ethan held the wine glass in his slender fingers and slightly tilted it in front of Adriana. 

She could not move her gaze away from him. For a moment, Adriana's face flushed: "Your surname is Louise? You're Mrs. Louise's..."

As one of the Four Greatest Households in Kityall City, the Louise Group's financial resources were equal to the Zellweger's. 

Richard was considered one of the best successors of the younger generation. However, the second daughter of the Louise family, who was the current president of the Louise Group, had made her name in the business industry of Kityall City ten years earlier than Richard. 

Ethan smiled confidently, "Today is my mother's birthday. Thank you, Miss Wood, for coming here."

Adriana's eyes lit up when she heard the word 'mother'. 

As everyone knew, the former president of Louise Group had three children. The eldest and second daughter were responsible for their domestic and overseas company respectively. However, the youngest son had never appeared in the public.

She suddenly felt the name sounded a bit familiar, as she seemed to have heard it from Richard's mother before. So he was the youngest son of Victoria Louise?

"Are you Katherine's brother?" Adriana asked. 

"Just call me Ethan." Ethan smiled friendly.

Ethan Louise treated her like a proper lady even though he didn't know her identity. Any woman would feel flattered, including Adriana. 

When he saw the obvious changes in Adriana's expression, Ethan could guess what she was thinking about. He wondered why Richard would take a fancy to such a vain woman!

His despise for Richard grew when he thought of this. 

He had mischievous thoughts when he first saw her ever since Adriana entered the banquet hall.

At the same time, the resting lounge on the second floor was bustling.

Downstairs, it was a social occasion for the businessmen who were connected with the Louise family. The family members of the Louise, such as Ethan's uncles and aunts, as well as the close friends, were all chatting on the second floor.

"Is it not over yet?" Katherine was dressed in plain black, looking cold and prideful. She exuded an aura that warned people not to approach her.

"No, Miss Katherine, the chess game is in a stalemate. Do you need me to urge them?"
