Quinn:
"what do you think?" I asked, still smirking.
"I was told you're a threat to humans and an abomination. What does that mean?" She inquired with furrowed brows while crossing her arms over her torso.
"It means you probably should be staying away from me"
"You don't seem that bad," she shrugged.
I chuckled at her naiveness.
"You think?" I asked, smiling.
"I know. I mean, you've not done anything bad"
Except for trying to seduce you.
"That's because you've not gotten into my bad side".
After that, she was quiet for a while, simply staring at the almost empty blood bag attached to my hand. She appeared to be deep In thoughts and I was dying to know what was consuming her.
"what are you thinking of?"
My question brought her back from her thoughts, her eyes drifting to mine just as I pulled the now empty blood bag from my arm and fixed the second one.
"What are you?" She asked, staring at me with curious eyes.
"A Nephilim". Was my simple response and the truth.
Telling her about me came as second nature. And the fact that she was accepting me for who I am was something I treasured.
Her brows furrowed, eyes narrowing down at me.
"What's a... Nephilim?"
"The offspring of a human and an angel." Her eyes widened at my response, mouth opening to speak but I answered even before she could ask. "It makes me half-human, half-angel"
The surprise in her face shifted to another expression. She was in awe of the being I am.
"Wow," she muttered. "I didn't know beings as you existed"
"Now you know" I smiled.
"If you're the offspring of an angel and a human as you've said, then why do people think you're evil and an abomination? Aren't angels believed to be good?"
"Angels are believed to be holy creatures and for them to have an affair with a human is seen as sinful and curses the angel involved to become a demon. Thus, a child from such an affair is seen to be an abomination and a threat"
"That's sad" she shook her head. "The child shouldn't be made to pay for the sins of its parents. All it ever did was to be born in such circumstances"
I chuckled at her assessment.
"While you are right, not all of my kinds are as nice as I am. The majority of them are controlled by the supernatural powers they possess, turning them to become evil if they cannot control it"
"But you didn't turn out that way"
"It's because my mom made it known to me from a young age, about my difference and we did a good job of hiding it and fitting into the normal world".
"Wow. Was it easy to adapt?"
"At first, no. We had to live in an isolated environment due to my exceptional growth. After seven days of being born, I grew up to be the same as a seven years old human child"
"What?" Her eyes widened in shock, her mouth hanging open.
"I age fast while young but it reduces as I get older"
