Quinn:
I moved from one end of the bed to the other but sleep refused to come. The quietness of the house that I'd once seen as peace, I now saw as loneliness.
In simple words, I missed Rhea dearly but I didn't want to admit it. I kept telling myself that she wasn't the reason I was unable to sleep but every time I closed my eyes, I saw her beautiful face.
I was itching to go see her but I'd been preventing myself.
After a whole hour of tossing and turning in bed with sleep nowhere in sight, I gave in to the urge. Exhaling a gush of air, I got out of bed and pulled on sweat pants and a shirt. Thereafter, I teleported to Rhea's room in Damon's home.
The room was illuminated in the soft yellow glow of the lamp on the nightstand. My eyes landed on her. There she was, lying on a stomach, reading a book. She hadn't noticed me.
I was taken aback when I noticed what she was wearing. In place of my shorts and a t-shirt, she was wearing boy shorts and a tank top.
Did Damon get these for her? I frowned at that conclusion.
The idea of him getting clothes for her didn't go well with me.
Marching towards her, I grabbed her leg and flipped her over, pinning her to the bed with my arms. She was about to screech when I sealed my lips to hers to prevent her from making any sounds.
Her eyes widened when she realized it was me. Slowly, she relaxed into the kiss but then I pulled away.
"New clothes huh?" I growled, showing my displeasure in my tone. But she only grinned.
"Not really. His cook lent them to me".
At her words, the anger I'd been feeling slowly dissipated. I stared into her hazel orbs, pressing my body against hers. At the moment I wanted to feel more than talk.
Instead of giving in to my body needs, I released her and stood to my feet.
"I came to check on you as promised" I smirked. "And I can see you're doing fine so I'll just take my leave"
"No," she said immediately, standing on her feet and walking towards me.
She grabbed my arm and licked her plump lips before staring into my eyes.
"Please, stay for the night" she pouted.
And that was one hell of an invitation I couldn't resist.
"I should be working tonight" I lied, licking my lips. "If you want me to stay you're gonna have to pay a price" I smirked
She narrowed her eyes at mine but my smirk only widened.
"I'll take my payment when the time comes. Are you interested?"
