Chapter 100 

“If you asked me to teach here, I’d rather sit at home doing nothing.” Luke declared, reflecting his. education steeped in freedom. 

He wasn’t someone who liked to be constrained by conventional thinking. 

For Linda, hearing such words from him seemed quite normal, given his background. 

After the waiter finished serving the dishes, Luke got to the point. “Linda, you wanted to know how I know. and keep track of your family’s situation, right?” 

Linda put on a serious expression. “Sounds like there’s some history between us.” 

“Your father did me a great favor,” Luke replied, which left Linda momentarily stunned. 

“What do you mean?” 

Luke picked up a piece of fish and began his story. “Let me tell you a story.” 

Linda nodded. 

“About ten years ago, in the streets of a small town in Franco, there was a ragged–looking boy. He squatted by the roadside waiting for help, but instead of receiving assistance, the little money placed before him was stolen. He was left with nothing. 

“At that moment, another man appeared. He gave the boy some money, took him to buy new clothes, and told him he was a businessman from Osmo temporarily staying in Franco. He told the boy to look for him if he needed help. 

“Later, the boy sought out the businessman, who turned out to be genuine. He helped the boy with many, things, reducing his suffering and enabling him to survive in Franco. 

“As the boy grew up, he became a renowned designer and didn’t forget the businessman’s kindness. After much inquiry, he learned the businessman had passed away. 

“The boy used many methods to find the businessman’s family but was unsuccessful. Just as he was about to give up, he heard the businessman’s daughter was in trouble. He then started to pay attention to the family’s affairs.” 

Linda said, “So, you’re the boy in the story, and the businessman from Osmo is my father?” 

Luke nodded. “Yes. Two years ago, I saw you for the first time at that auction and realized you were 

John’s child. I also learned that my student was the daughter of my benefactor.” 

“But how did you gather so much evidence in such a short time?” 

Linda was suspicious, not because she didn’t trust Luke, but because she had to be careful. 

“It wasn’t a short time. I’ve been preparing for a long time. 

“I’ve been preparing ever since I found out about your identity.” 

“Do you think it’s worth it?” Linda sked. She felt it wasn’t. 

Investigating the past required immense resources. Even if someone had done him a favor, his safety should come first. 

“I think it’s worth it.” 

Luke then said, “Linda, I like you, so I believe it’s very worth it.” 

Chapter 100 

Linda was well aware of Luke’s feelings. His affection was evident, even if she was a bit slow to notice. 

“But I have no intention of starting a new relationship.
