Wendy was surprised to see William as soon as she entered Linda’s office. 

“Ms. Felix, what happened?” 

“See Mr. Wilson out, and make sure not to let just anyone into my office in the future,” Linda said with disdain in her eyes. “If confidential documents get lost, not everyone can be held responsible.” 

William’s expression grew darker. 

Wendy understood that Linda’s comments weren’t meant for her. 

“Mr. Witson, please.” 

With no other option, William had to leave the office. 

The remarks Linda made were reminiscent of when she used to bring William lunch back when they were more familiar with each other. 

The familiarity wasn’t lost on him.. 

Linda looked at the gift and felt a deep sense of irony.
