Lexi was still young and didn’t quite understand the meaning of their conversation. 

“But Mommy, I really like James. Why can’t he always be with me? Didn’t he stay with me when we were in Usna before?” 

Linda was momentarily at a loss for how to answer. 

Samson smiled and explained, “Baby, In this world, no one can always be with you, not even Mommy and Daddy. We can’t always be with you.” 

“Why not? Why can’t you always be with me?” Lexi still didn’t understand, 

Linda gently touched her head. 

“Because our baby will grow up eventually. When you grow up, you’ll want to be independent and won’t want Mommy and Daddy around all the time.” 

Lexi shook her head vigorously at the thought. 

“No, I really like Mommy and Daddy. I want to be with Mommy and Daddy all the time.” 

Samson smiled and continued, “Alright, we’ll always be with our baby.” 

The Lynch family offered a high salary, so the household agency sent over a selection of 20 nannies for them to choose from. These nannies covered various age groups, including one with a master’s degree, which personally appealed more to Linda. 

When Lexi started school later on, a nanny with a higher education could help with tutoring and homework. Samson, on the other hand, preferred those who were more mature in age. 

The older they were, the more children they had likely cared for, indicating more experience in childcare than the younger ones. 

“Baby, tell Mommy, which of these nannies do you like the most?” Linda bent down and asked Lexi. 

“Mommy, I like that pretty one over there!” Lexi pointed with her small, fair hand toward a woman in her early 30s standing in the corner. 

“Hello, could you step forward so we can have a look at you?” Samson addressed the woman Lexi had chosen. 

The woman was pleasantly surprised and took a few steps forward. 

She hadn’t expected to be singled out. 

Everyone who came to apply today had experience serving wealthy families, but she did not. 

Linda opened her resume and frowned slightly at the education section. 

The woman had only graduated from high school.
