January was about to end. Linda and Chloe were both thinking about what to give out as year–end rewards for the work of the previous year. 

Linda had been living at the Lynch mansion, so Chloe went with her. 

Although she was much too old to be clinging on to her sister, she still enjoyed hanging out with Linda 

“Linda, do you think giving out different kinds of jewelry as a year–end reward would be a good idea? Im thinking of giving out different qualities according to the level of the employee. I’m reluctant to give out money, but I’m open to the idea of paying for jewelry” 

Chloe had been browsing the Internet to see what people were getting as year–end rewards, and she felt that everything she had seen so far seemed too shabby. They were either phones or computers, which were much too common and weren’t worth a lot of money. 

She was in the jewelry business. She would be giving out either money or jewelry. 

However, she was a Taurus and didn’t like the idea of just giving money away. 

“But everyone in your company knows the quality and price of jewelry. You might as well just give them cash,” Linda felt that those in the industry would know a lot about jewelry, so there was no need to give them something they were such an expert in. 

If Chloe gave them gifts that were too expensive, they would hold her in disdain for it. If she gave them cheap jewelry, they would think she was stingy. 

It would be easier to give them cash. 

After all, nobody disliked cash. Everyone wanted more money. 

“It makes my heart ache to give out those dollar bills. Chloe was a typical Taurus. She wasn’t poor, but she always felt reluctant to fork out cash, even if she didn’t lack money at all. 

“I still think it’s inappropriate for you to give them jewelry.” Linda analyzed the situation seriously. 

She continued, “Think about it. Anyone who works for you would have to have a certain level of knowledge about jewelry. They would know how much it’s worth 

“If you gave them expensive jewelry, you may not think of it as a problem, but those in the industry who know about it would think you’re a fool. If you aren’t able to give them more expensive jewelry next year, what do you think they’ll think about you? 

“Conversely, if you give them jewelry that isn’t expensive, they’ll think you’re a miserly boss. Wouldn’t it affect you if they don’t work seriously in the future? Why don’t you spend some money? Year–end rewards are just for fun. If you can solve it by giving out money, there’s no reason to complicate things.” 

Linda’s advice cleared Chloe’s mind. What she had said was true. 

Chloe clutched at her chest, pretending to be in great pain. “I shouldn’t have started such a big workshop. Every time I have to pay for something. I feel my heart ache terribly.” 

At that moment, Samson carried Lexi down. “As far as I know, the turnover for your workshop exceeds your expectations every season. Isn’t that something to be happy about?” 

“Samson, I feel really stingy right now, alright?” Ever since she became her own boss, Chloe started having a clear concept of money.
