Chapter 175
“We have to reveal that we’re married in order to explain everyt Samson reasoned.
He explained, “I’ve already revealed that I have a daughter. We’ve shown up at the same place at the same time far too often, and picture released was of all three of us.
“The picture they took at the cemetery is only a start. What if they release pictures of our daily lives? At that point, we’ll be forced to admit it anyway.
“Secondly, these people aren’t going to let go unless they get w they want. You’re also in the entertainment industry, so you sho know that well enough. They want us to admit it so they can get m
clicks.
“If they didn’t have someone directing them, do you really think the first move would be to send it to me so I could buy it off their hand: We’re simply too close.
“The moment netizens decide to release pictures of us in Usna fror a few years ago, we’ll get caught up in even more gossip. By then, it‘ be too hard to explain ourselves.
“We should publicize that we’re married now, and once everything’s settled, we’ll reveal that we’ve already gotten divorced. That way, you, Lexi, and I won’t be affected too badly.”
Sometimes, when a secret was revealed, it didn’t affect whoever the secret was about. Instead, it affected others involved.
Linda understood what Samson was trying to say. After all, if anyone else got involved in their issues, she would feel terrible.
However, Linda knew better than anyone that Samson didn’t feel
anything more than a sibling–like love for her.
“Still, I’m worried. If we reveal our relationship, there’ll be more
paparazzi following us around. If that happens, won’t Lexi be even more affected?”
Linda’s worries weren’t entirely unreasonable.
After all, if their relationship became more famous, more people would pay attention to them. If that happened, there would be much more paparazzi outside their neighborhood.
Most people who lived in that neighborhood were VIPs. Having paparazzi around the neighborhood would affect them quite a lot. If they were bothered by it, it would affect Linda and Samson’s work.
“We’ll just have to see what the company decides to do for the next step,” Samson said, perfectly calm. “I believe there aren’t many people who dare to go against our public relations team.”
“Okay. Let’s see what happens from here.”
Samson agreed and continued, “I’m not home yet, so please watch. over Lexi when you can. If anything comes up, just call me. I should be able to come back in three days.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll watch over Lexi.”
Right after Linda hung up on Samson, Wendy suddenly called.
“Ms. Felix, what should we do about the gossip online?”
