Chapter 198
“You slept for so long just now. Are you sure you can sleep later?” Linda asked.
Lexi was drinking her hot soup carefully with a small spoon that Linda bought for her.
“Of course. I’m a little piggy and can sleep a lot,” Lexi said.
Linda and Samson laughed loudly at her words.
“I thought you hated it when others said you are a piggy?” Linda said.
Lexi rolled her eyes while drinking her soup. “That’s because Piggy Pig is cute!”
Linda and Samson didn’t know what she was talking about.
At that moment, Ava emerged from the kitchen with another dish and said, “Piggy Pig is the show Lexi is watching these days. The main character of the show is a pig.”
“It’s a pink pig that loves to step on puddles!” Lexi added.
Linda and Samson didn’t watch these kinds of shows when they were young.
“It seems like we need to start watching cartoon shows to understand our child,” Samson said.
Linda didn’t like to watch cartoon shows since she was a kid. She won’t so much as glance at the television, even if it was playing some fun cartoons. She couldn’t see the appeal of a cartoon show.
“I guess we really need to,” Linda said.
“Daddy, Mommy, cartoon shows are so much fun. You need to watch it to understand its appeal,” Lexi said. She spoke in such a mature
manner as if she were an adult.
“Okay, we’ll do so,” Linda told her.
Since Linda didn’t release any statement in response to the incident, the media started posting photos in which Lexi’s face could be seen clearly.
Many netizens started cursing at Linda as a result.
Although Linda couldn’t care less about what netizens said, William couldn’t hold it in anymore.
He made a public announcement through his company.
It said, “Recently, Mr. Wilson went to the amusement park with Ms. Felix. We would like to clarify that Mr. Wilson and Ms. Felix did not get back together. Mr. Wilson was there as the godfather of Ms. Felix’s child.
“If the media keep posting photos that clearly show the child’s face, our company will take legal action against them. We would stop at nothing to protect the rights of the child. Anyone who crosses the line must be ready to face the consequences.”
Linda didn’t expect William to release a statement like that. After all, Jay told her they had decided not to do anything.
