Chapter 206
After William left, Linda gave Jimmy a ring. “I’ve already emailed you the detailed plan. Have you seen it?”
“Yeah, I’ve gone through it. I think it’s great. It fits your style,”
Jimmy answered. While sketching a draft, he continued, “I feel that it doesn’t fit my style because it’s too
ntle.”
“You can’t be too ruthless. You never know when you might need to collaborate with them again. As long as the company and the Xanders remain, we’re bound to cross paths,” Linda explained,
“If we burn our bridges now, what will happen when we need to work together later? Besides, Charlie’s team is impressive, but I’m sure he has other assets that could be useful to us,” she continued.
Linda believed that the production team wasn’t Charlie’s only ace.
“That’s why you are the mastermind. You plan everything far ahead of time, but I doubt he has any other tricks left,” Jimmy said.
‘Whether he has or does not have, we can’t go overboard. We’re only teaching him a lesson, not blacklisting him from the industry,” she reminded.
Since he worked for Linda, he wasn’t about to disagree with her.
“Alright, then. We’ll go with your plan. I’ve got some other work to handle, so please get some rest,” Jimmy said.
“Okay. Thanks a lot.”
“Just bring Lexi out to hang out with me. You don’t have to thank me,” he replied
After ending the call with Jimmy, Linda returned to her room to rest.

With the strong backing of the Wilson Group, Linda successfully found the lead actor for her new film at the Film Academy. At the same time, her previous film was nominated for an international award.
“This time, I think our film might win,” Lina said as she sat in the office, analyzing the competition with Linda. She was comparing the box office numbers and reviews of the hortlisted movies.
“You know I’m not interested in awards. It doesn’t matter much whether we win or not. The most important is the audience’s recognition and appreciation of my films, not the accolades,” Linda replied.
Even when she was in Usnam, she had already won some awards, even though she was not a veteran in the industry.
Many people saw her as someone born as a director, but she never allowed these accolades to influence her. She remained
focused and dedicated to her work.
“In Cheshire, winning an award is seen as the highest praise for a film. It would also give a huge boost to our future projects. I know you don’t care, but the company and I do,” Lina said, fully aware of
what Linda felt.
Linda might not have cared much, but the company definitely did.
“By the way, that micro movie you made last year has gone viral online. I just met with a few departments, and we developed some themes for you. If any of the themes interest you, we can start filming,” Lina added.
She was also the agent for the artists, but most of her work was closely tied to Linda’s projects.
The micro movie was originally created to promote a feature film, and Linda enjoyed working on such brief and easier projects.
