“Lexi wants to go out. William’s deep voice care through the receiver 

“Linda, the weather’s nice today. Getting some sunlight is good for Lexi’s growth and development,” he added. “Don’t worry. I’ll take the nanny along and update you if anything comes up. There’s no need to be concerned.” 

“Mommy, I can take care of myself. Please let me go out and play,” Lexi pleaded in a childish tone. 

Linda couldn’t find it in herself to say no. “Alright, but only if you want to go. 

“Yay! Mommy, you’re the best! Lexi replied. 

In the nanny’s car, William beld Lexi in his arms. “Lex, what do you feel like doing today?” 

“I want to flyakite” Lexi exclaimed. 

The mention of kites instantly reminded William of the previous conversation he had with Linda over the telephone. 

“Then, let’s fly a kite,” he agreed 

“Godfather, I have a question that I don’t really understand, Lexi said. 

Lexi loved watching cartoons and often asked Samson or Linda about anything that puzzled her. However, lately, they had been so busy that Lexi was already asleep by the time they returned home, leaving her questions unanswered 

“What’s your question? William asked. 

“In the cartoons, moms and dads always sleep in the same room and on the same bed. However, my parents don’t. Why is that?” she asked, tilting her head. Wam was puzzled. “Aren’t your mommy and daddy living together? 

“Yeah, but they don’t sleep in the same room, Lexi clarified. She had already grasped the difference between living together and sleeping in the same room. “That can’t be right. Maybe you never noticed it because you sleep in your own room,” William replied, but his curiosity was piqued 

Could there be something between Linda and Samson that he didn’t know about?
