Lina said, “These documents need to be dealt with before you leave today. I’ll come by 15 minutes before the end of the day to collect them. If they’re not done, you’ll be staying late to complete them. 

“And I’ll take Lexi with me. When you’re finished, give me a call, and I’ll bring her back. Don’t worry. My people are more experienced with kids, anyway.” 

Without waiting for a response, Lina left, leaving Samson feeling overwhelmed. 

In Lina’s office, Lexi sat comfortably on her lap. “What do you want to talk to me about, Aunt Lina?” 

Lina pulled out an iPad and played a clip from a reality show. Once the video ended, she turned to Lexi. 

“Lexi, if there were a chance for you, your dad, mom, and Uncle William to appear on a show like this, would you want to do it?” 

Lina already knew about the variety show and the proposed solution by the producers. They wanted to have William step in whenever Samson wasn’t available. The real issue now was whether William would agree to participate. 

Linda definitely wasn’t willing to handle this matter herself, and even if she did, it might not be of any use. The best negotiator for this matter was Lexi. 

Lina figured that since Lexi was already at the office, she might as well bring it up here instead of making a trip to their place. 

After all, the roundtrip would take time and cost gas. It cost nearly 100 bucks to fill the tank for her car. She really couldn’t afford to make that trip. 

Lexi nodded before saying, “But Daddy and Mommy are so busy. They probably won’t have time for something like this. 

“But I think Uncle William might have time. He always seems free and plays with me whenever I ask. He even called earlier to ask why I wasn’t home.” 

“Well, if I told you that I had a way to get all three of them to join the show, would you be willing to help?” Lina guided patiently. 

After all, Lexi was still just a child. She was always willing to make sacrifices for the things she wanted to do. “What do I need to do?” 

“Since your dad has a lot of work, he can’t always be with you. So, the show producer suggested that your dad and Uncle William could take turns appearing. 

“That way, it’ll feel like both are with you, but you need to make sure they don’t appear at the same time. Are you okay with that? 

“If you are, all you have to do is ask William if he would join the show. I’ll ask the show producer to send an invitation to your dad. How does that sound?” Lina asked. 

“But can you be sure Daddy will have time?” 

Samson’s schedule was unpredictable. Sometimes, he was very busy, and other times, he was more relaxed. Lately, though, he had been quite occupied, and Lexi wasn’t sure if he had the time to participate.
