Chapter 249
If Linda was not that obsessed and had been more straightforward and unhesitating in her feelings, things might not have turned out the way they did. Now, she felt a sense of
relief.
She was once again deeply immersed in filming. The script was finalized and submitted to the Cultural Tourism Bureau for thorough review before officially starting production. The micro movie’s shooting was relatively short, and during this period, Lexi was particularly clingy. Linda thought there was no reason not to bring her along, so Wendy came to the set with them.
Lexi was a very well–behaved child. Whenever Linda was directing the actors, Lexi would patiently sit in a chair and wait for her to return. When there was nothing else happening, she would sit quietly and watch the actors move according to the script.
“Wendy, when will they finish shooting?” Lexi asked.
Wendy, holding a cup of grape juice she had bought specifically for Linda, looked over. “Do you find it boring here and want to go home?”
Lexi shook her head. “No, I think it’s fun here. I just think Mommy seems to be working really hard.”
Wendy looked up and noticed that some of the actors were from other collaborating parties and were not all from the company.
These actors, with some background and a desire to stand out, lacked basic experience. In front of the camera, they appeared timid, and their movements were unnatural. Every time before starting, Linda had to film a take first, adjust their actions, and then shoot again. What should have been completed in one or two weeks ended up taking an
extra week.
After this shoot, Linda decided she no longer wanted to work on similar projects.
“In the future, anyone recommended by other investors must go through an audition,” she said. “No, I won’t be taking on this type of project again. It’s too exhausting.” Lina came over from outside and picked up Lexi. “Got it. We’ll avoid this type of work as much as possible from now on.”
“You’re back already. I thought you were out of town.” Linda was surprised to see Lina.
“We’re not in Osmo anymore,” Lina said, reminding Linda that she was shooting a film elsewhere. “Jimmy asked if you want to meet him. He’s here, too.”
“Sweetheart, do you want to meet Jimmy?” Linda asked Lexi.
