Chapter 288
Meanwhile, in Osmo, a bad feeling was growing in Chloe’s chest. After thinking it over for awhile, she decided to call Luke.
There was no point in speaking to Samson right now since he was still in Osmo. Wendy knew about the situation, Samson surely did, too. The priority now was finding someone in Springvale who could check on things immediately.
Luke was a bit surprised when he got Chloe’s call “Good morning, Chloe. What’s up? Why are you calling me at this hour?”
“Mr. Hunter, hear me out.”
Luke had been in a meeting when his assistant walked in with some paperwork, but he motioned for them to stop. “Alright, I’m listening.”
“Linda arrived in Springvale yesterday with her production team to scout filming locations. I’ve been trying to call her all morning, but she hasn’t picked up, and I’m starting get worried
“Since you’re already there, can you go check on ber? I’ll send you the project manager’s contact number.”
Upon learning that Linda might be in trouble, Luke jumped from his seat. “Alright, don’t worry. Send me the number, and I’ll head over right away. I’ll call you as soon as I know anything.”
“Thank you so much, Mr. Hunter.”
After hanging up, Luke grabbed his car keys and rushed out the door, leaving his assistant, who had been about to hand in a report, standing there in shock.
On the way to the hotel, Luke received the project manager’s contact from Chloe and called right away. “This is Luke. Give me your location. I’m on my way,”
Donald Arcel quickly sent over the hotel address and was already with Miles cedewing the hotel’s security footage.
Miles told him, “The surveillance cameras near the presidential suite malfunctioned early this morning. We can’t tell if it was a technical issue or sabotage, so we haven’t been able to check anything yet”
It was evident that whoever was behind this had come prepared. They had disabled the cameras in advance, leaving no trace of Linda.
Luke wasn’t far from the hotel, and soon, he arrived at lightning speed. “Are there cameras at all the nearby intersections?”
“Yes. We also have footage from the hotel entrance, and Lean have it pulled up now,” Miles replied, knowing that Linda’s high–profile status made it crucial to act quickly. After all, if anything happened to her at their hotel, they would be held responsible.
“Start checking the surveillance footage immediately,” Luke ordered calmly despite the tension.
He then turned to the rest of the team. Pair up and go to every store in the area with security cameras. Talk to the owners and ask them for sign of Ms. Felix, save a copy of the footage and get it to me as fast as you can.”
Everyone nodded and set off to their assigned tasker.
