Chapter 297
Luke stayed in the hospital for a week for treatment and underwent multiple examinations.
Once his condition was confirmed to be stable, the group took the private jet arranged by Samson and returned to Osmo.
“No matter
what, you still need to stay in the hospital for observation, Linda insisted, still worried about Luke’s injury.
However, she had a lot of work to do and needed to meet with Hannah. She couldn’t keep checking on whether Luke was following through with his treatment
“I really don’t think I need to stay in the hospital any longer. My arm will heal; it’s just a matter of time. You have to understand that staying in the hospital makes me
uncomfortable.
“I’m much more at ease at home, and I have a family doctor there,” Luke argued, clearly against staying in the hospital.
At some point, Chloe appeared at the airport. “Mr. Hunter, your injury is no small matter. We’re both designers, and our hands are incredibly important to us.
*If you end up needing an amputation, are you ready to give up your career as a designer? Would you just throw away your talent?”
Linda quickly said, “I think Chloe’s right. I’m not a designer, but when my right hand was crushed during the fire, even after it healed, I still feel pain to this day.
“‘s something that will never fully recover. Every time my hand feels weak, I regret not getting it treated properly from the start.”
She continued, “Please just listen to us and stay in the hospital for observation. Once your arm is fully healed, no one will stop you from doing anything.”
After being persuaded emotionally and logically by both Linda and Chloe, Luke finally agreed to go back to the hospital
Chloe stayed with Lute in the hospital while he continued his treatment, allowing Linda to focus on her most pressing matter–meeting with Hannah.

Walam accompanied Linda to the police station, where Samson was already waiting for them.
“Why are you here, too? Is Lexi alone at home? Linda immediately thought of Lexi
“Mom and Dad are with her, and James is home, too,” Samson reassured her. He held her uninjured hand, looking her over with concern. “Other than your arm, are you really okay?
Linda gave awry smile. “I learned some martial arts in Usna, so I’m no stranger to defending myself. It’s only a fracture, and I’ll be fine in four months. You don’t need to worry so much.”
