Chapter 303
There was only one sentence under this recording file “You must save yourself!”
Linda was completely baffled Who could have sent this email, and why did that person urge her to “save herselt“?
The timing couldn’t have been more peculiar as it arrived just as Linda was facing a series of complex challenges.
Was it really just a coincidence, or had someone deliberately orchestrated it? Could this be a trap waiting for her to walk into?
Samson was also listening to the recording
“What do you think is going on?” he asked. He wasn’t one to jump to conclusions, as he was always careful not to make rash argurnents.
Given the current evidence, there was nothing to link Nina to any wrongdoing directly
Both Linda and Samson could clearly recognize Nina’s voice in the recording. But with modern technology advancing so rapidly, the audio might have been manipulated. After all, imitating someone’s voice to a nearly perfect degree was no longer tar–fetched.
They both hesitated to come to firm conclusions. This situation could quickly spiral out of control, not to mention how upsetting the Hunter family could jeopardize business tes down to the line. Linda didn’t want her issues to affect both companies growth.
“I don’t know what to say, but the way Luke and Nina interact is really strange. Even if they don’t get along, mother and son shouldn’t act like this I can’t put my finger on it, but something feels off”
She mulled over her thoughts but was unable to find the right words to explain the unease gnawing at her.
“Let’s go home for now, we’ll figure out the next steps in the aftemoon.” Samson started the car and drove home. There wasn’t much they could do at the moment, and they just had to take it one step at a time.
When Linda and Samson got home, Lexi had already woken up. She looked a bit confused as her parents walked in
“Mommy, Daddy, did you not come home again last night? Lexi asked
Lately, Samson has been extremely busy with work. He often did not make it home until the early hours of the morning, so Lexi rarely saw him.
Linda has also been away for a while to deal with things in Springvale after the incident.
“stom, what happened to your hand? Lexi’s eyes widened in concern as she noticed Linda’s left hand wrapped in bandages and held up in a sling
“It’s nothing. Lexi,” Linda reassured her, kerling to speak at Lexi’s eye level. “Mommy just got a little hurt. It’ll heal soon, so don’t worry, okay Lexi gently blow on Linda’s hand, her tiny mouth opening and closing as she chanted, “Pain, pain, fly away!
