“Samson, with you sounding so sure, what do you expect me to say?”
Linda’s smile was tinged with bitterness. There was no denying the truth in his words.
Even after everything she had been through and after facing near–death experiences, she still had some feelings for William
Maybe it was because she had loved him for so long, or perhaps because one’s first love always left a lasting mark–a mark that time alone couldn’t erase
Everyone had a spot for their first love. Even if that person was no longer as beautiful as before, seeing them again could still stir the heart.
“Linda, if you feel you can’t let go, maybe you should give it another try?” Samson suggested gently
More than anything, Samson wanted Linda to be happy. He didn’t particularly like William, but his personal feelings didn’t matter. What mattered was what Linda wanted
If she still believed William was the right one and wanted to give it another shot, Samson, as someone who cared about her, wouldn’t stand in her way
He respected every choice she made and would always stand by her, ready to offer the security and support she needed to choose without fer
*Samson, I admit I still have some feelings for William, but they aren’t enough” Linda paused, taking a few deep breaths.
“They aren’t enough to drag me back into that grave I barely escaped from. I’ve fought hard to get to where I am. I want my future to be filled with happiness, not caught in the same old trap”
A small amount of lingering affection wasn’t enough to pull her back into a whirlwind she had just escaped from
“And like I said before, I’ll support you in whatever you choose to do. No matter your decision, I’ll be by your side,” Samson said firmly “I’ll give you all the protection you need, so you never have to worry.”
Samson’s protectiveness over Linda had grown over the years, far beyond the debt he once owed her. But he didn’t mind. Meeting Linda had taught him how to protect and care
for someone.

“Don’t worry,” Linda reassured him, her voice softer now. “I’m living a good life now. I won’t make the mistake of going down that path again. I’ll gradually cut ties with Will For me, what matters now is that I’m happy!
Linda had grown so much.
