Chapter 37 

“Fiancée? Do you mean Ida William asked, glancing at the reporter’s press badge. He then turned to Jay and said, “Let’s sue them for spreading rumors.” 

Jay nodded, feeling a pang of sympathy for the reporter. 

William scanned the crowd of reporters and audience. “I want to take this opportunity to clear up some 

misinformation. 

“First, I do not have a fiancée. The reports of my engagement to Ida are completely false, and I will be taking legal action against the publication that spread these lies. 

“Second, the rumor that Ida is my childhood savior is also untrue. The person who saved my life back. then was my ex–wife, Linda. Ida heard the story and falsely claimed to be my savior before I regained my 

memory. 

“Third, I admit that I was a terrible person. I neglected my loving wife and caused her immense pain numerous times. I am profoundly sorry and will dedicate the rest of my life to making it up to her. 

“Finally, I, William Wilson, want to make it clear that Linda Felix will always be my wife. She is the only one 

who can hold that title.” 

After concluding his statement, William left the scene while flanked by his bodyguards. The live 

broadcast ended at that point. 

With a mischievous sparkle in his eyes, Samson teasingly asked, “So, Ms. Felix, how do you feel about all 

this?” 

“And how do you think I should feel?” Linda responded, clearly amused by the situation. “I’ve already had a brush with death. I’ve become indifferent to love and have no interest in getting involved in another 

relationship.” 

Though Linda’s words were vague, Samson got the message. 

William still had a special place in her heart. After all, he was someone she had once deeply loved. Letting go of him wasn’t easy, yet she no longer yearned for love or wanted any part of it. 

Over those four years in Usna, Samson saw Linda grapple to move on from the relationship. As someone older, he naturally hoped for her happiness. 

Linda looked at him. “Samson, you know I can’t just forget about William. All I can do is stay away from 

him.” 

Avoiding him might not have been the bravest choice, but Linda saw no other option. She wasn’t Interested in getting tangled up with William again. It just seemed pointless. 

“Of course. That’s why I’ll back any decision you make, just like your dad would.” 

Linda’s heart sank at the mention of John. “Yes. If my parents were still around, they would support me,

“You know the kind of person your parents wanted you to be. Lead your life with joy and courage. Can you imagine how disappointed they’d be, watching over you from above, if you didn’t?” 

After thinking it through, Linda agreed with a smile. “Don’t worry about me.” 

Linda had largely ignored the internet lately. She was focused on uncovering how much Tom had embezzled over the past four years.
