William felt the seriousness of the situation, his brow furrowing deeply. Could it be that he truly had no 

more chances left? He would not allow this to happen. 

As he pondered, the office door was suddenly being pushed open. 

Joanne entered the office with a tearful Ida behind her. 

William had grown to loathe with Joanne and Ida. If Joanne weren’t his biological mother, he might have done something drastic by now. 

“What are you guys doing here?” William’s voice was full of irritation. 

“William, you can’t just sit by and do nothing.” Joanne pulled Ida to the sofa and detailed their current predicament. 

He couldn’t hold his laugh after hearing this. “You are the one who plagiarized. How can you sit here looking like the victim?” 

William’s tone dripped with sarcasm, and his gaze toward Ida was cold. He remembered that Ida had 

played a significant role in the events of bullying Linda in the past. 

Ida, who had never cried before, cried after listening to William’s words. This only made her look more pitiful and annoying in William’s eyes. 

Joanne bristled at his words. “William, how can you say that? Ida is your fiancée. Shouldn’t you defend her?” 

William sat on his leather chair and looked at the crying Ida with disdain. “Mrs. Wilson, do I need to call up someone from the legal department to educate Ida?* 

“What do you mean?” Joanne asked. 

“Exactly what I said,” he replied coldly. “I’m even the mastermind behind this incident.” 

Chloe had the talent, but she couldn’t always maintain her top position in the industry. 

The jewelry industry was chaotic, with most elements being reused. When the same element was repeated, it would inevitably be related to previous designs. 

This industry was used to this, but Ida had pushed her luck too far this time. 

On the other hand, Chloe had strong resources and connections with the industry suppliers. 

The current jewelry market was chaotic, leading to designers wanting more resources. Their only connection with the supplier was through Chloe, so it was normal for them to support Chloe. 

On the other hand, Ida was just taking advantage of the Wilson family without offering any tangible benefits. It was clear whom the industry would support.
