Linda, who was already extremely beautiful, looked even more captivating under the soft lighting. Although Luke had encountered countless beautiful women, looking at her left him stunned. 

“Mr. Hunter, we can order now.” Linda pushed the ordering tablet toward him. “I have some work to attend to later.” 

He snapped back to reality. “My apologies. Dining with a beauty can be quite distracting.” 

Linda was carefree, so she would not be shy because of compliments. 

She smiled and thanked graciously, “Thank you, Mr. Hunter. The compliment still brings joy to me even though I hear it from time to time.” 

Luke was surprised by Linda’s words as it was rare to meet such a straightforward girl. 

While waiting for their food to be served, Linda spoke little. On the other hand, Luke, being quite the conversationalist, carried most of the dialogue. The atmosphere was a bit peculiar. 

“I was discussing Chloe’s new work the other day. She happened to mention your interest in borrowing jewelry, Luke said. 

Linda nodded. “My next film is an artistic piece that requires the usage of jewelry.”

Luke gazed at her striking face. “You can always borrow from me, Ms. Felix. I have all the jewelry might need.” 

“If there is a demand for jewelry in the future, I won’t hesitate to ask you,” Linda promised, 

“You’re always welcome!” Luke replied. 

Once the dishes arrived, the atmosphere relaxed as they chatted over their meal. 

Linda had partly agreed to this dinner because of what Luke had mentioned earlier. 

She indeed needed someone who could provide the jewelry for her film, and Luke was the ideal choice. because he possessed pieces that even Chloe didn’t have. 

As they talked more, Linda found Luke friendly, and her initial indifference faded. 

After dinner, Chloe came to the restaurant as she planned to pick Linda up. 

Unexpectedly, she met William, who was fuming with anger. His eyes were fixed on Linda and Luke. 

“Mr. Wilson, what are you doing here?” Chloe asked. 

“Who is that man with Linda? William questioned Chloe Immediately when he saw her, leaving her uncomfortable. 

“Mr. Wilson, it’s none of your business. You’re just her ex–husband. Chloe deliberately emphasized those 

two words.

“Does an ex not have the right to be concerned?” William retorted. 

Chloe rolled her eyes. “If you truly cared about her, where were you before?” 

William was speechless. 

She noticed Linda was laughing with Luke. It was something William must also have seen as well. 

So, she said, “Mr. Wilson, I sincerely hope you will leave Linda alone. Please don’t interfere with her suitors. She’s 28 now, and it’s time she found a new relationship.”
