Chapter 69
The environment in Osmo was indeed problematic.
Linda had many enemies. If Lexi were to return, it would create vulnerabilities for both her and Samson. Thus, it wasn’t a good idea to bring Lexi back.
Moreover, Lexi had poor health. The medical resources abroad were better suited for her needs.
It wouldn’t be right to expose her to these dangers. As Lexi’s parents, they simply couldn’t do it.
“Linda, have you thought about it, though?”
“About what?” Linda was confused.
“Lexi might become the trigger for William to let you go.”
“But Chloe, I don’t want Lexi to be hurt.”
Linda knew full well that William would give up if he knew about Lexi’s existence.
William was a prideful guy. His love for Linda was minimal. It was more about obsession and pride.
He was also extremely proud. He would most likely end his pursuit if he knew that Linda had remarried
abroad and had a child.
Such entanglement was meaningless to him and would hurt his pride.
William could have any woman he wanted. He wasn’t the type to cling to something he couldn’t have.
However, it might be possible that his obsession with Linda might outweigh his pride.
He might even harm Lexi.
Lexi was innocent, and Linda couldn’t bear to be so cruel.
“Let’s order now.” Samson changed the subject.
Linda took the iPad from him.
Chloe didn’t dwell on the topic.
*Samson, I plan to release the short film we shot a while back. I’ll send it to you to take a look later,” Linda said, propping her chin on her hand.
Samson had a keen eye for films. Most of the projects he reviewed ended up being profitable,
“Great! I was just about to ask you about it.”
“Linda, can I see it, too?” Chloe’s eyes sparkled with excitement. She was a huge fan of Amber F.
Whenever movies were mentioned, she looked at Linda with admiration.
“I’ll show it to you when we get back to the hotel.”
Chloe nodded eagerly. “Okay!”
“I’m really curious to see how my work comes across in your project.”
Linda smiled. “I hope it meets your expectations.”
“You’re Amber F, after all. You’re a rising director who has won over audiences in Mauris!”
