Linda used the fire as a cover for her escape. Her clever plan allowed her to slip away from William’s grasp four years ago. Ironically, she had to thank Ida for her foolishness, making it all possible for her to 

do that. 

Many angry comments were left under that post, and some hired trolls argued that spreading false rumors would have legal consequences. Linda found this amusing. 

Did Ida not have to take responsibility for all the things she had done over the years? 

Soon, a video was posted. 

It featured an old selfie video. 

“I’m Suzy Barkett, Ida’s assistant. I am currently on my way to the suburban villa. I am recording this video without knowing if it will ever reach my family or if it will lead to my family being harmed by Ida, but I still want to leave this video here 

“First, I want to apologize to Linda, I never wanted to hurt you. I knew you were always good, but I had no choice–I had to think of my family. 

“Second, the fire was set by me under Ida’s orders. She said the suburban villa was far away and rarely known to be inhabited. In dry winter weather, a single spark could start a big fire, so no one would know it was you. 

“Here’s a recording of what Ida said to me.” 

The recording was then played. 

“What are you worried about? As long as I’m here, no one will dare say anything. If you don’t do it, you’ll know what I’m capable of. 

“Don’t forget. Your family is there. I know everything about them, so you’d better listen. Do you 

understand? 

“The weather is cold and dry. An unextinguished cigarette butt can start a fire. The place is remote, so they won’t trace it back to you. 

“Besides, I can protect you. 

“Suzy, you know what kind of person I am, so think carefully,” 

And that was the end of the recording. 

“These are Ida’s words. I didn’t dare disobey her and had to follow her orders. 

“Lastly, I know this video may never be seen, but I still hope for that day. This is my last gift to my family for their safety and a little peace for my conscience. 

“Ida tampered with my car. I will die in an ‘accident‘ on the way back, Instantly killed. Knowing everything, 

she will not let me live.

The video’s timestamp showed it was from four years ago at the time of the fire. 

Shortly after the video was posted, Ida was arrested for attempted murder. At that moment, she was in her studio planning her next move. Someone live–streamed her arrest, capturing everything. 

Outside the police station, Linda met a gaunt Lucy, who looked unrecognizable. Clearly, she couldn’t 

handle the prison lifestyle after years of luxury.
