Chapter 96
“Alright, Zack. I want you to tell me everything.”
Discovering bits and pieces sporadically made Linda uneasy.
She wanted to know everything in one go, whether it was good or bad.
She wanted to understand everything she should know.
Zack sighed. “Since you already know so much, I won’t keep anything from you anymore.”
“I’ll wait for you to

Linda spent the entire morning in her hotel room waiting for Zack’s message. Once Zack arrived, her people brought him to the hotel.
Linda couldn’t wait another moment.
“Zack, I trust you. Please don’t hold back and tell me the truth.”
Zack first calmed her down. “Linda, take a breath. I’ll explain everything

“So, that’s why the contract was made,” he concluded.
“So, whether or not I married William, Felix Group’s support for Wilson Group was already a foregone

Zack sighed. “Sean always said William was very proud.”
Linda thought of something. “Zack, are you saying my involvement caused the current situation?”
Zack didn’t deny it.
“We couldn’t understand why you were infatuated with William. Your parents, your uncles, and I thought you were just having a fling: Since you really wanted to marry him, we agreed because we didn’t want to
see you unhappy.”
They thought a young girl’s crush would be short–lived, but Linda’s affection was enduring.
“No. The trail went cold at the eastern seashore. Since you both were safe, we didn’t pursue the investigation further.”
“Thank you, Zack,” Linda sincerely expressed her gratitude.
“Linda, there are some things you and Chloe shouldn’t pry into. It’s not good for you.”
Zack’s words were a subtle warning. They wanted the last hope left by John and Adeline to be protected.
Linda understood that they wanted her and Chloe to live well and stay out of trouble. But she couldn’t just stand by. She didn’t want to live in confusion.
