Never Late, Never Away Chapter 2121

Larry didn’t want to waste time going to and fro his office. Staying put to settle everything at one go was a much more efficient method.

But because of that, Caiden saw the opportunity to barge into Joan’s life.

Delilah’s recovery was going very well, to the point where she could now move around freely, much to Joan’s relief. It was Larry she was worried about now.

Delilah realized how increasingly worried Joan had become and tried to comfort her. “Joan, I know Larry has been busy these few days. After all, Norton Corporation isn’t a small company. There’s bound to be a lot more work to do.”

Of course, Joan knew this better than anyone else. What she couldn’t understand was what had brought about the drastic change in Larry’s attitude. In the past, no matter how busy he was, he would always call her to let her know about anything he was being troubled with.

“Why don’t you buy some new clothes for Lucius? It’s about time he got something new to wear,” Delilah suddenly suggested.

Her suggestion was birthed from the concern she had for Joan. The woman didn’t want Joan getting sick with worry. Delilah needed an excuse to get her out of the house for some much-needed fresh air. Besides, with Gabriella out of the country, it should be safer for the woman to be out and about.

Joan agreed without any hesitation and soon left for the mall.

The mall was bustling with activity, yet Joan felt so lonely amongst the crowd.

She used to have Larry or Nancy accompany her on her shopping sprees, but since they couldn’t be with her now, she had to do it all by her lonesome self.

“Mommy, I want to eat that marshmallow!” a little girl exclaimed while tugging at the shirt of the woman beside her.

“Be good, darling. You’ve already had a sweet, haven’t you? Too many sweets aren’t good for you,” the woman replied as she planted a kiss on the girl’s forehead.

“Daddy, I want to eat a marshmallow!”

“Okay, okay, I’ll get it for you,” the man said with a smile as he ruffled his daughter’s hair.

Before the mother could protest, the father had returned with two marshmallows in hand.
