Koven deeply empathized with Lucy’s words because he had walked a similar path before. He faced criticism from people when he was having a hard time feeling inspired. Although things had improved for him now, he had never forgotten how that felt.
“It’s okay. Inspiration will come around eventually, whether it be when you see a fallen leaf on the street, feel the wind brush against your face, see the ripples of a lake, watch people walking by, gaze at the clouds in the sky, or admire the moon at night.
"I’ve gone through this myself. Why don’t you give it a try?” Koven gave her some advice.
Having gone through the same thing, Koven truly believed in Lucy’s potential and hoped she would one day grace stages across the globe.
Lucy smiled and nodded. “Perhaps it’s because there isn’t much time left until the fashion show, so I feel nervous every day. I’m afraid that I won’t do well!”
“As long as you create something that is beautiful to you, whether it be for the fashion show or not, it would be the best piece in your eyes. Don’t worry too much about the show, and don’t be too hard on yourself,” Koven reassured her patiently.
Lucy nodded. Out of curiosity, she asked, “Why did you and Hudson leave the house so early? Why didn’t you take a break or have something more to eat?”
Upon hearing that, Koven suddenly remembered why he had come to see her, and he immediately pouted with a look of annoyance.
“You’re one to talk. Do you know how evil Matthew is? He left us the keys to the car that was dirtied yesterday. Hudson and I were already dirty to begin with, yet we still had to put up with that stench.
"When we walked into the office today, everyone was talking behind our backs about how much we stank.”
