Using his free hand, her took off his watch, unbuttoning his shirt next. Sylvie was holding her breath the whole time. “Let hum go to the bathroom. Let him go to the bathroom she kept praying.
“But how is it so difficult to find? The launch is in three days, Matt. I need to know what they’re launching. If they have spies within my circle and already know what I’m launching. I think I deserve same.”
He sighed disgruntledly as he listened to his assistants’ unsatisfying response on the phone.
“Just get it done. If Philse-Wave strikes too hard, it’s not gonna be good for us.”
Sylvie could have a little peak at him from under the bed, and when he completely took Iff his shirt, she was totally stunned.
Good lord! It was the first time she was seeing Kage Hawkins shirtless well, the first time since he became an adult and grew all those abs. She had no idea he had such a perfect body behind those shirts. How did it happen?
She was lost staring at him, she almost forgot she was hiding under his bed. Not until he dropped the call and walked into the bathroom.
Okay, that was a good one. Slowly, she crawled out of the bed, releasing the deep breath she’d been holding in the whole
time.
As soon as she was on her feet, she headed for the door, but it was too late as the bathroom door opened, revealing Kage with a white towel wrapped around his waist and one over his right shoulder.
She froze, literally. A gasp slipped her throat as her eyes widened like they could swallow up the room. No. No. No. He wasn’t supposed to be there!
Kage furrowed his brows in confusion as he looked at paled Sylvie in his room, trying to unlock his door.
Okay…this was strange. He was about taking his bath when he remembered there was an important text he needed to send. on his phone. So, he came out and to his surprise, his pregnant ex-wife was trying to sneak out of his room.
“What’s going on?” He took further steps, then glanced around. “Where were you when I came in?”
Sylvie was gobsmacked. Her brain felt like it was fried and she couldn’t think of anything good.
“Sylvie?”
