Everyone’s minds were occupied with different thoughts.
Thomas and Sky agreed to allow James to acquire the Novenary Golden Pill for them.
He walked toward the secret door.
Under everyone’s watchful gazes, James stood before the door.
He simply attempted to push it open.
There was no mechanism attached to the door, but the door itself was heavy, weighing about several hundred kilograms. It would have been impossible to open without using True Energy.
Slowly, the door swung open slowly.
The dust inside was kicked up by the gust of fresh air entering the room.
James raised his hand to fan it away.
He walked inside.
The space inside was relatively small, measuring only ten square meters. On the stone wall were some small stone boxes.
He walked over and opened them one by one.
Unfortunately, every box he opened was empty except until he reached the last one.
He opened the last stone box and found a small crystal bottle within.
James’ heart leaped in joy and excitement after discovering the small crystal bottle.
He knew that the bottle was almost certain to contain the Novenary Golden Pills.
James did not choose to open it. Instead, he hid it on his person and walked out.
“Did you find anything?”
Thomas and Sky’s questions echoed in unison.
James shrugged and said, “There’s nothing inside. It was completely empty.”
“Impossible!”
Sky immediately expressed his disbelief. He quickly walked into the small room. Seeing the empty boxes, he looked at James doubtfully and asked, “Did you hide them, James?”
James looked at Sky and replied calmly, “I already told you there wasn’t anything there. It’s the truth. Why are you accusing me of taking them? You’re overthinking it.”
After speaking, he turned away and walked to Thomas, saying, “There really wasn’t anything inside. By the way, who spread the news about the mausoleum? Was it the Omniscient Deity from the Jade Sect? The mausoleum has existed for more than two thousand years. How could anyone have known about the events that happened thousands of years ago? I think we might have fallen into a trap.”
“Oh?”
Sky stared at James.
Only James had entered the Pill Vault, and Sky truly believed the Novenary Golden Pills must have been hidden there.
As such, he suspected James had hidden them to keep them for himself.
“Fine, search me.”
James held the Primordial Dragon Blade and spread his arms, with an expression that beckoned Sky to search him.
James’ carefree and relaxed attitude convinced Sky that James had nothing to hide.
“Damn that Omniscient Deity,” Sky spat furiously.
He believed James’ words and turned his suspicions toward the Omniscient Deity, thinking he was up to no good.
“The Novenary Golden Pills are gone. I don’t think the First Sword Art is here either. Fellow martial artists, go ahead if you want to continue searching for it. I still have other things to attend to, so I won’t be accompanying you guys.”
James had already obtained the First Sword Art and destroyed the records.
Even if the others found the location of it, they would not be able to learn it properly.
James bid farewell and departed.
