No Strings Attached novel (Clara and Ian) novel Chapter 486

After finishing his words, he delegated the task of grabbing Amanda some soup to the nursing station staff and hurried off.

By the time he reached the base of the Ferris wheel, the ongoing dining session had just ended.

Chase watched couples disembark one after another and felt an indescribable emotion stirring within him.

When he spotted Sasha standing alone amidst the lovebirds, he dashed towards her.

He grabbed her wrist in one swift motion.

With concern etching his features, he asked, "Sasha, why are you here by yourself?"

Sasha, upon recognizing his face, jerked her hand free.

Her words slurred with intoxication, "Why not? What? Was I meant to wait for you? Who do you think you are? Why should I wait for you?"

Then, she turned and staggered towards the exit without looking back.

Chase quickly caught up to her. "Sasha, Amanda just passed out from hypoglycemia. I was just getting her to a hospital room. You're not jealous, are you?"

Sasha stopped in her tracks, giving him a sheepish smile. "Jealous of her? Why would I be? You're not mine to be jealous over. Go be with whoever you want. It's got nothing to do with me. Remember, this is all just pretend."

She then continued her unsteady path through the crowd, aiming for a taxi, but before she could get in, Chase scooped her up and slung her over his shoulder.

"Chase, put me down! Believe it or not, I'll sue you for harassment!"

He chuckled mischievously. "Go ahead, sue. I'd like to see which cop dares to intervene in a little lovers' tiff."

As they bickered, some passersby recognized Sasha.

Curious onlookers began to gather.

"Is that Sasha? That must be her official boyfriend. He's so handsome!"

"With a boyfriend like that, no way she'd be climbing over some movie star's wall."

Some fans followed, inquiring, "Sasha, did you have a fight with your boyfriend? Why come to the Ferris wheel's diner alone?"
