Sasha glared at him, struggling to free herself from his embrace. "Don't worry, I'll give you a severance pay, and from then on, we'll have nothing to do with each other."
Realizing that she was serious, Chase bit his lip in frustration. "Fine, you've got guts! Let's see if you can really stay away from me." Then, he got up and went into the bathroom.
Meanwhile, on the other side.
Brodie walked into Ian's office as agreed. There was another person in the office, Anders, and the desk was piled with documents.
Brodie’s eyes narrowed slightly, sensing that things were not as simple as he had imagined.
Upon seeing Brodie enter, Ian slowly lifted his gaze. He gestured to the seat opposite him and said in a deep voice, "Take a seat."
Then, he handed a document to Brodie. "This represents the shares in the corporation owned by Dad and Grandma. They both agree to transfer them to you. With these shares, you are the second largest shareholder in the corporation, next to me, and the new Vice President of Hayes Corporation. Here is your appointment letter."
Brodie glanced at the documents on the table, his lips curling into a meaningful smile. "Aren't you afraid I'll take your position as CEO?"
Ian smiled faintly. "If you want it, there's no need to take it. I'll step aside."
That statement dispelled all of Brodie's doubts. "So, you want me to help manage the company while you settle down with your wife and kids, huh? Ian, you really are selfish."
