Upon hearing that, Clara instantly grasped the situation. She feigned ignorance and said, "Oh, is it serious? Do we need to get a rabies vaccine? Dr. Chase, how could you be so careless to let Sasha get bitten by a dog?"
Chase ground his teeth and said with a roguish grin, "I am that mad dog."
Clara blinked her big eyes a few times. "Why would you bite her for no reason? Sasha has such delicate skin. How could she withstand your bite? Come, let me see, where did he bite you?"
Unable to hold back, Chase let out a lascivious laugh. "They say pregnancy makes a woman ditsy, and it seems to be true. You can't even see through this little situation. I like to bite her, so how is it a problem?"
"Is it that you like to bite her, or you like her? These are two different concepts. If you don't like her, don't just bite her randomly next time. If you damage her, how is she supposed to get married?"
It was then Chase realized and licked his molars, saying, "Clara, you could have learned anything from Ian, but you had to pick up his craftiness."
Clara smiled. "My husband uses all his craftiness in business. He has only one intention toward me. Once he's decided on something, he never lets go. And you, you aren’t even sure where your heart lies. What a waste."
Then, she took Sasha's hand and walked inside, waving goodbye without turning back. "Dr. Chase, you were up all night performing surgery, so we won't keep you for dinner. Thanks for bringing Sasha over. Goodbye."
Watching their figures disappearing, Chase, frustrated, took out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it. His anger from Sasha's matchmaking issue hadn't subsided, and now Clara's words provoked him further. Was he really that easy to mess with?
He immediately took out his phone and called Ian. "Clara, you're pregnant, so I can't argue with you. I'll settle this with your man!"
