No Way Back (Jane and Hugh) by Anna Mac novel Chapter 63

Chapter 63

Both Rose and Jack frowned slightly.

The trial was about to start, but Henry had run off somewhere.

When they called Henry, Henry only said that he had something to deal with. for the time being and would arrive on time.

Since he had already said so, it was not appropriate for them to ask further.

Unexpectedly, Henry had not arrived yet.

He had never been tardy before. Something must have happened!

Just as Jack was about to say something…

Henry walked into the courtroom. “I’m sorry I’m late.”

His expression was indifferent.

It was as if nothing had happened.

As expected of Henry.

He had clearly just been stuck at the entrance of the ladies’ room, which was extremely awkward. For a moment, he couldn’t control his emotions and vented his anger on Jane.

However, when he came to the court, he could still maintain his extremely calm and elegant demeanor.

He did not even look at Jane.

Jane’s lips curled into a cold smile.

It was expected.

Still

Could Henry still remain calm after what would happen next?

Jane Fowler was waiting to see how interesting their expressions would become!

Andy could not help but chuckle.

“What are you laughing at?”

Rose noticed and asked coldly.

Her intuition told him that Henry was late this time because of Andy and

Jane Fowler!

Andy shrugged and did not reply.

Then, he thought of something happy.

He accidentally laughed out loud.

Rose was speechless.

Rage bubbled up in her crazily.

She secretly clenched her fists.

“Andy!

“How dare you look down on me like this? This time, I’ll definitely teach you a lesson!” Rose thought.

The court session officially began.

The judge announced the plaintiff’s statute

The accused would speak first.

Rose took the initiative.

She took out a bunch of theories, data, and information to prove Jack’s innocence.

She also posed several pointed and critical questions to Jane that would surely spell her demise.

She wanted to force Jane to reveal a flaw.

So she could find the key to turning the tables.

Unexpectedly, Jane appeared extremely calm.

Her answer was flawless.

She did not look like a nineteen-year-old girl at all.

On the contrary, she was like an iron-blooded queen who had experienced countless battles.

She was so calm that it was terrifying.

Rose’s carefully prepared questions had no effect on Jane at all.

Even Jack and Henry could not help but take a few more glances at Jane Fowler.

They had spent a whole night coming up with such pointed questions.

They did not expect Jane’s reaction to be so good.

It was far beyond their expectations.

Even if Andy had simulated all sorts of possible questions that Rose could ask Jane.

This steadfast and confident attitude made her seem like she was truly a member of the Fowler family.

However!

Their disgust of her would not change!

Because Jane Fowler had stabbed them in the back this time! The Fowler family!

How could they appreciate a traitor? Now, the Fowler family only wanted to expel her from the family tree!

Rose didn’t get what she wanted from Jane Fowler.

A smidge of an unwillingness to give up flashed across her eyes.

She ended the questioning.

At the same time.

Andy did not say a word from the beginning to the end

He even yawned lazily.

He did not care about the Fowler family or Rose at all.

This extreme contempt made Rose grit her teeth.

Her beautiful eyes swept over Andy, and her angry voice was forced out from between her teeth.

“Your turn, Lawyer Andy!”

The lawsuit was a small matter, but as long as Andy did not have any evidence, Rose would not give him a chance to succeed!

Regarding the hypothetical questions that Andy would pose to Jack, the Fowler family had long honed various situations!

If even Jane could do it without giving Rose any clues, Jack Fowler definitely could.

Except…

While Rose was furious, there was also a trace of indescribable nervousness.

In the past, when Rose fought with Andy, Andy had always been full of confidence, as if victory was within his grasp.

No matter how disadvantaged the situation was, Andy could still turn the

tide.

However, Rose had never felt such contempt from Andy in these few lawsuits.

No matter how small the case was, Andy would not be able to handle Rose so easily.
