"The Alpha King?!" I am a little surprised. He's so famous and I didn't think I'd actually get a chance to see him.

"I heard that he is very handsome and tall, but he has never had a girlfriend. He is twenty-five years old now and has not found a mate yet," Emily gossips excitedly, "You are so beautiful. If you didn't have a mate. Maybe you could get him interested in you."

I raise my eyebrows, "Twenty-five and yet never had a girlfriend. Is it possible that he doesn't like women?"

"You mean he likes men?” Emily screams, covering her chest. “Why didn't I think of that? Do you think it's too late for me to cut my hair and dress like a tomboy?"

“Sorry. Lady. That’s too late.” I cross my arms.

The Alpha King keeps his image of being single in public may just to have a good reputation.

After all, reputation is important to the royal family.

Or is he Gay?

I'm not a fan of celebrities who seem to be single but may have a messy personal life. Not as good as my Beta, who is a decent guy and a gentleman.

"So… you said you have a mate, what does he do? What's his name?" Emily asks.

I hesitate to reveal Ziv's identity to Emily, so I vaguely say, "He is an ordinary white-collar worker. He works for his boss. His name is Ziv Sanders."

Anyway, Beta works for Alpha, and is a job, right? A white lie would be fine.

"Sanders?" Emily screams, and the rag in her hand falls to the floor.

Emily’s scream makes people around us look over. I immediately cover her mouth and tell her to keep her voice down.

"Why are you screaming like that? Is this last name special?" I ask in a whisper.

"Don't you know that Alpha king's name is Zane Sanders!" Emily’s eyes are super wide now, “ Sanders! Doesn’t this last name remain you of anything?!”

"There are a lot of people with the same last name, but the one in my family is not related to Alpha king. He's just a normal guy." Or maybe not too normal. A beta.

Emily picks up the rag, "Yeah, you're right, if your husband is Alpha King, then how can you work here? How can I be a colleague and become friends with the Queen?"

And with that, she bursts into laughter.

"Exactly." I giggle.

Alpha king. That kind of person and I are as far apart as the moon in the sky and the dirt on the ground. I don't dare and don’t want to imagine having anything to do with him.

I am lucky enough to have Ziv.

Zane's POV

When I step into the lobby, Findlay's wolf form, a big grey wolf, pounces on me head-on.

"Oh! My savior! You're finally back!"

I clutch the back of his neck and carry him away.

Findlay wiggles his big tail, "Please! I beg you! Please go check on those women! I'm going crazy. They keep asking me for your information all day long. And if I resist telling them they would...Hey! Hey, you! Come back! Where are you going?"

I leave Findlay's rant behind me, enter the elevator, press the button on the forty-eighth floor, and quickly closed the door.

The world finally quiets down.

Findlay that talkative, I should find him a wife to properly discipline his windy nature.

Ding-

The elevator arrives at the forty-eighth floor, where a whole floor is my grandfather's study.

The receptionist at the door bows and says, "Your Highness, Sir Sanders has been waiting for you for a long time."

I push open the door of the study.

My grandfather Peter is sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. Listening to my entering, He turns his head and hums.

"You still know this is your home?" He mutters in dissatisfaction.

"You know, the Alpha of Blue Moon Pack needs to be tuned up," I answer.

"I don't want to worry about these annoying affairs. I just want to know when you'll find me a granddaughter-in-law! You look at those girls outside, each of them gorgeous. Even if you are eyes above the top, you should at least look at one of them. I do not care if you are busy or not. Today you have to choose one from among those girls..."

"I’ve found my mate."
