Gabriella’s POV
I was in the kitchen preparing dinner when I heard a knock at the door. When I went to get the door, I was surprised to see Javier there with flowers.
"Mr. Hills, please enter. What can I do for you today? "
"If you dare to call me Mr. Hills again, I will kiss you until you pass out."
My cheeks reddened quickly. What is it with me and falling for everything this man says to me? I was enraged with him. Why am I unable to remain angry with him? He examined my face and saw my tomato cheeks.
"Here," he said, "Mrs. Hills." I'm very sorry for what happened earlier today. I am aware that I may be a little possessive, but please allow me to try. I have no idea what it's like to be in love or to care for someone. I've been immersed in work since I can remember. You may find me daunting, but I will make an effort for you. I need this more than anything else, Gabriella. I want you and my kid to be a part of my life." When I glanced at the guy, the arrogant jerk I had seen this morning had vanished. I inhaled the fragrance of the flowers and gazed at him. I wanted to express my gratitude, but my body won out. I extended my hand and kissed him on the lips, murmuring
"I appreciate it, Mr. Hills." Naturally, I wanted him to kiss me and therefore provoked him. He just curled his bottom lip and smiled.
