Chapter 1504

Edwin heard a noise and turned his head.

Joanne slept "deeply". Even though her head bumped into the window, she only frowned slightly.

It seemed that she was really exhausted.

"Drive a little slower," Edwin instructed the driver.

The driver saw Edwin staring unblinkingly at Joanne in the rearview mirror. He had never seen Edwin so tender.

"Yes, Master Edwin."

The temperature in the car was a little low, so Edwin took off his suit jacket, gently draped it over Joanne, and took her into his arms.

Joanne's delicate eyelashes fluttered as she fell onto his chest.

The tip of her nose rubbed against Edwin's firm chest and slid down. Finally, she lay down on his lap.

Edwin's eyes swept over her slightly trembling eyelashes. He reached out and brushed her bangs. His long fingertips stopped at her fair cheeks as he said in a low voice with expectations, "I waited four years for you. Joanne, you can't escape."

In the silent car, his murmurs were clear.

Not only did Joanne, who was pretending to be asleep, hear it, but the driver was also shocked.

He thought, 'What did Master Edwin just call Ms. Walters?'

'Joanne?

'Isn't that his former wife's name?

'Is Master Edwin possessed, or did he take Ms. Walters as a stand-in?'

The driver's hands shook. The car wobbled and almost hit a speeding Bentley on the side.

Joanne suddenly tilted and fell into Edwin's arms, and the tip of her nose was banged.

Her gasps could be faintly heard.
