Out Of Nowhere: Boss, Let Me Go novel Chapter 14

Cindy stood still and her heart was crumpled into pieces.

That sentence stabbed her heart like a sharp sword.

"Mom, why didn't you take me with you and leave me alone to suffer so much?" Clenching her fists tightly, Cindy looked up at the sky and sighed, tears streaming down her face.

The passers-by at the gate of the hospital couldn't help but look at her with sympathy.

Why did God do this to me?

Amanda didn't know if it was because she had been working overtime or because her mother's words made her too sad. Cindy was so dizzy that she almost couldn't raise her head. Then she felt dizzy and fell straight to the ground.

"Cindy."

A deep and magnetic voice of the man rang in her ears.

Vaguely, Cindy heard someone calling her.

The pleasant voice was so familiar.

The sky and earth were spinning and about to fall to the ground. Cindy couldn't control herself and could only watch the grey ground getting closer and closer to her.

Just then. A pair of big hands caught her.

The person's fingers were a little cold, but Cindy could feel the heartbeat from his chest, which made her feel so safe and warm. This feeling was a little familiar.

Ethan, is that you?

Tears streamed down Cindy's face. She gradually lost her consciousness and soon fell into endless darkness.

Until

"She is just a jinx. She will only bring bad luck. Send her away."

"Here is five million. As long as you leave Ethan, I promise that your Cheng family will live a peaceful life. I heard that you have a brother, right? If anything happens, don't blame me for being rude to him."

"Cindy, why? Give me a reason."

"No, don't leave me, Cindy."

"Cindy, how could my brother like you? If you hadn't helped them so much and made some money, I would have dumped you already. Now it's good. We can be together openly."

Cindy was like a lonely boat, galloping in the dark sea. She couldn't even breathe under the pressure of storms. She was so dizzy that many ferocious faces flashed by one by one.

Was she dead?

Otherwise, why did she even see Old Mrs. Cheng who had been dead for many years?

"Cindy, you finally wake up."

Cindy recognized the voice of the Head Nurse.

She tried to open her eyes, but the light seemed to be a little dazzling, and she immediately closed them.

A pair of warm hands covered Cindy's forehead. "Cindy, Cindy."

Standing by the window, Ethan pressed his thin lips tightly and frowned. When he heard the Head Nurse's shout, his cold eyes instantly turned around, full of cold stars.

A moment later, Cindy opened her eyes again.

Cindy frowned at her headache. She remembered that she was talking about the medical fees with her mother at the gate of the hospital just now.

But the room was clean and bright, with many medical devices placed, and the smell of disinfectant slowly filled her nostrils.

This was the emergency room of the Department of Neurosurgery, where she worked every day.

Why

"Head Nurse, why am I lying here?"

Cindy was startled by her hoarse voice.

"It's good that you woke up. Cindy, have a good rest." Hearing the Head Nurse's words, Cindy closed her eyes obediently and fell asleep again.

"Sir, I thank you on behalf of Cindy. She must have been too tired these days that she fainted. Now it seemed that everything was fine. Don't worry. I will take good care of her."
