Chapter 38 New Revelations
Emily didn't understand what Olivia meant.

Olivia was impatient, tapping her foot. "Remember when you fainted at the hospital with your dad? Do you know who brought you back?"

Emily's eyes lit up. "Mr. Satan!"

"Exactly!" Olivia smirked triumphantly. "When he went to the hospital, he couldn't wear a mask, right? So, if we get hold of the hospital's surveillance footage, we'll see who took you, and the truth will come out."

Olivia already had the surveillance video in hand.

Emily hesitated, but Olivia pulled her to sit beside her. "Let's just watch it first."

They opened a video link from the email, and the cover was the hospital's entrance.

Olivia maximized the video and pressed play.

Though the surveillance footage wasn't crystal clear, they could still vaguely see the faces of people entering and exiting the hospital.

The area in front of the hospital was always bustling, even at night. Under the bright lights, people hurried in and out.

Suddenly, a familiar figure appeared on the footage.

He got out of a black car and entered the hospital.

"This is..." Olivia leaned in, then slapped her thigh. "Isn't that Allen Parker? It's really him!"

Emily felt nervous, biting her finger joint tightly, her eyes glued to the phone screen, not missing any detail.

About ten minutes later, Allen Parker's figure reappeared on the surveillance.

He came out of the hospital carrying a woman, put her in the passenger seat of the car, and then drove off.

Because the lighting was dim, they couldn't see the woman's face clearly.

But Emily recognized herself at a glance.

She was wearing the same white T-shirt and long skirt. Allen Parker personally dropped her off at the hospital entrance, and during that time, she had been by her father's side and hadn't changed her clothes.

Olivia gasped. "Emily, I think... the woman he's holding really looks like you..."

She felt a weight lift off her chest.

So Mr. Satan really was Allen Parker.

Emily gave a firm nod. "It's me."

Olivia nodded and replayed the surveillance video several times. "Then it's settled. Emily, maybe, like you said, Mr. Satan has his reasons for denying he's Allen Parker?"

Emily felt confused. "I don't know, but he must have his reasons for doing so."

"...Is it because he's gay?"

On this point, nobody had more authority than Emily herself.
