Chapter 96 Uncle William, Look at Me
Madelyn was soft-hearted and didn't know how to comfort him.
William looked at her eyes, which seemed identical to those of the woman in his memory. He shook his head, thinking that he missed Madeline so much that he was deceived by his eyes.
After all, he was a public figure, so he quickly collected himself.
William was glad that Benjamin finally got a girlfriend. Madelyn seemed to be a good girl.
"Uncle, you only look at Madelyn. You don't even take a glance at me."
Eloise pouted and said sweetly.
William chuckled with amusement.
He hugged Eloise and teased her gently, "You have a boyfriend. Why do you pester me like you did when you were small?"
Eloise grew up abroad.
She used to sit on William's shoulders, so she was spoiled by him like a daughter. When she heard what William said, she pursed her lips slightly and said, "I won't forget you even if I get married."
William looked at her with loving eyes.
He prayed to god that he could find his lost daughter. He wished his daughter would be as lovely as Eloise. He would do anything for her and give her the best things…
Madelyn looked at William quietly.
She thought he must like children.
He looked at Eloise as if she was his child…
William came back this time to look for his daughter quietly. He asked Benjamin for help and winked at the latter. Benjamin got the hint and asked Madelyn to eat some food first.
In the small sitting room.
William couldn't stifle his anxiety and asked earnestly, "Benjamin, have you got any clues?"
Benjamin had made a thorough investigation, but he hadn't got any information yet.
He shook his head slightly.
William was disappointed. He carefully took from his pocket a small necklace, which was decorated with a pink diamond.
William mumbled in a grievance, "This is the necklace she used to wear. It's been so many years. I didn't expect to behold it again."
Benjamin took the necklace.
He frowned slightly. He found the necklace familiar and thought he had seen it somewhere before, but he couldn't remember it. Perhaps he saw it on a customer?
