It was ten o ‘clock at night when they got home. Blanca got into bed after finishing off a bowl of noodles, but Matthew dragged her out of bed, urging her to take a shower. Finishing bathing, she moved quickly to Matthew’s side, who was leaning back against the headboard and reading a financial magazine. Blanca made two turns in a bath towel and said, “I’m done. I promise I’m very clean now.” Blanca said and her pleasant scent was pervasive in the room.

“Blanca!” Matthew said brusquely.

“Huh?” Blanca looked doubtfully at him. She just couldn’t understand why he was suddenly angry. She had cleaned herself well as he had requested. Blanca knew Matthew was kind of irritated because of what Todd had done, but she thought there was no need to be angry for so long.
